Ben hurt his back leg a while ago and has been spending most of his time in the front room, away from all his friends.
He came up to me yesterday and I said "make a wish". He closed his eyes and did just that.
He's back playing with his friends which suggests his wish came true.

One of my favorite Christmas traditions is to sit and make orange pomander balls at the kitchen table.
Pomander balls go back to the 15th century, when they served as natural air fresheners for wardrobes or drawers. We hang them on our door handles and above radiators around the flat for decoration—and, of course, for that beautiful citrus-spice smell that warms the room.
To make 2 balls, you will need:
- 2 oranges (or try apples, lemons, or lime)
- Toothpick or pin to ease the cloves into the orange
- Whole cloves, at least 1/4 cup, depending upon your design. (I buy mine in bulk as they tend to be expensive in smaller amounts.)
- 4 feet of Ribbon
Directions
- Making a Pomander Ball is easy, but does take time! Cris-cross a ribbon around the ball remembering to leave an extra length free for hanging (multiple pomander balls also look beautiful displayed together in a large decorative bowl!).
- Simply stick a clove directly into the orange and follow the line of the ribbon until you've filled a quarter and then repeat until the orange is full! You may want to use a toothpick or pin to make the first punctures so that the cloves are easier to insert. It seems that everyone has his or her own method when it comes to filling a ball! You don't have to fill the entire ball though—try a pattern or design if you feel inspired :)
Imagino que vocês já não devem aguentar sempre essa mesma make kkk

Ola pessoas!
The first recorded story about using a dandelion to make a wish is from 1830. answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090331232609AASNYJ9. Isn't it amazing how something like that can be passed down for generations? And that was accomplished without social media!

These are two 8' workbenches put into an 'L' in the corner of my garage. The right side legs of the right bench needed to be longer due to the slope of the floor and the 3" ledge.
The benches were built using the plans at www.makezine.com/blog/archive/2006/07/make_podcast_weeken....
They are strong and sturdy and very nice. At the right end of the right bench I am going to cut a hole and drop in a laundry tub sink from Home Depot. I'll post another photo once that is done.
The tool chest is from Sam's Club. They also sell the same brand but different configurations at Costco.
The shelves are from Home Depot. They were the only Z-beam shelving I could find with a 24" depth (the ones at Lowes, Sam's Club, and Costco were 18"). These were about $74 for a 72"x48"x24" shelves. The Z-beam design (common now) is very solid and all the pieces just snap together, no connectors/screws.
The clearcoated epoxy on the floor was installed by Rustoleum, contracted out via Home Depot.
On my blog is a description and how to make your own whiteboard soooo much better than those smudgy boring whitboards.

This exhibition, curated by Weave at Abertay, brings together emerging and established digital artists/activists whose work comments, reflects and challenges ideas relating to socio-political issues and events. It is a survey of media objects of protest against hostile acts and environments over the past 35 years.
How are digital artists using their practice to facilitate conversations around complex socio-political issues? How do we protest differently in a digital age?
It is a turbulent time across the globe – from the challenges of Brexit to the protests in Hong Kong, from the growing Climate Emergency movement to the rise in Nationalism — the international socio-political landscape is increasingly subject to crisis and change.
These events and activities, while tied to specific cultural and socio-political contexts, often transcend borders and speak to collective concerns for alternative forms of democracy and citizen-informed solutions to complex issues.
Digital devices and platforms have encouraged the public to engage more with social and political issues, expanding opportunities for citizens to directly participate in civil society action. Blogs, petition platforms, crowdfunding sites, e-voting and other online forums and tools offer new means for individuals to contribute to shaping political debate and driving ‘real-world’ change.
It is against this diverse backdrop of politics, and the participatory nature of digital technologies, that many artists are producing work today.
The exhibition reflects on gun culture through Joseph Delappe’s Elegy: GTA USA Gun Homicides and Addie Wagenknecht’s series The Liberator Vases of 3D printed vases made using the first open source downloadable handgun. Irene Tokini Fubara-Manuel’s videogame ‘Dreams of Disguise: Errantry’ we explore issues of agency at border control and in Tina Keane’s video installation we recognise women’s historical struggle against nuclear weapons at Greenham Common . Igor Vamos’ (Yes Men) Barbie Liberation Organization playfully challenges gender-norms and Echo Youth by Matthew Plummer-Fernandez frames physical protest for a digital era.
The title of the exhibition is inspired by Roxy Music’s song, ‘Re-make/Re-model’ and makes reference to musician and theorist Brian Eno’s perspectives on technology, society and the future.

Incase you didn't know, we added a new option to our last preorder wigs. A Make it FULL option. It means that we pack the wig with more fibre, resulting in a thick, luxurious wig. Its a little more expensive but on longer cuts, definitely worth it if you're into styling!
This one is a commission for the lovely Kristina.

Three knitting ladies making knit wear.
My husband and I own two facilities (a farm and a centre) in which people with psychiatrical and psychological problems or history can do different acivities during working hours. This is to prevent social isolation and to be active. These three ladies are clients of us happily knitting together. They make shawls at the moment.
