Magic Island was a restaurant in Houston, Texas that featured a magic show and dinner at a high price. It closed after Hurricane Katrina and has never reopened since. Locked up pretty well, it has suffered ok against time, looters, and the elements. It has some holes in the roof, there has been a fire, and it has no electricity. With the permission of the people in charge of the property I was allowed to go through and photograph it before it is lost for all time. Most of these photos are either close up with a flash or I painted with my flashlight while the camera was on a tripod. There are disco balls, sarcophagi, a theater and a steam punk elevator. I had never been there before and it was interesting to go from room to room and have no idea what I would see next.

Labor Day weekend we attended the Texas Association of Magician's convention at the Hilton Hotel in Houston. Our convention was on the 4th floor and it just so happened that the Miss Texas and Miss Texas Teen pagents were being held on the 2nd floor. During the course of the evening we were strolling through the lobby and these lovely young ladies asked my husband to see some magic....he was more than happy to oblige:) Oh yes and the somewhat strange attire he is wearing is one of his Steampunk costumes.

In the Magic Eye project, the coordinated movement of a quadruped robot is symbiotically combined with the measurement of millimeter-wave reflections in order to detect obstacles and hidden objects. By means of mathematical transformations and fusion of the data, an image of the environment with significantly higher resolution is created as a result of the virtual aperture created by the movement, from which the name SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) is derived. In connection with highly integrated radar sensors, it is to be expected that SAR as a symbiosis of measurement and movement will play an important role in radar-based path planning and map generation for highly automated driving in the future.

Sometimes I wonder how these flowers are made...though almost all leaves are green but flowers are of so many different colors, shapes n size...The only answer I can think of is.... Mother Nature's Magic
This is the Magic Fountain of Montjuic, a 20 minute sound and light show repeated every 30 minutes on summer evenings. Hordes of locals and tourists attend. These are a fairly random selection of the dozens of photos I took (hand-held at slow shutter speeds) from different viewpoints around the fountain.

She came with the Magic Mist, it is a powder to mix with water and when you wash her hair with the mixture the hair turns straight, then if washed only with water the hair turns curly again. Tons of fun when you are little (when your mum allows you to play with water)

December 1, 2019 - On our way back home from Las Vegas, NV going back to Long Beach, CA via the I-15 South Freeway, we quickly stopped by the Seven Magic Mountains for quick photo ops. As you can see, there were lots of people visiting here. This boulder rocks art is a very popular tourist attraction!
