A magic party needs a rabbit in a hat, but making this hat disappear is a trick that everyone can enjoy!

What makes a mushroom magic?

I spotted these one day...and took these pictures.

While going over my old photos, I found this old picture, circa 2006 or so of what the Temecula Promenade's kids play zone looked like! It had a strange jungle theme carpet, soft play statues like the caterpillar shown here, a couple quarter rides, a play house that looks like someone just went to Kmart across the street and bought at the last minute and shown here a huge tree with an animatronic bear that would come out every half an hour and read a fairy tale of sorts... yeah, all this has since been removed and replaced with an open atrium with the kid's play zone being moved to the Macy's Women's court and given a modern look to it.

Here's a picture of my sister with the magic tree house behind her, every half an hour a robot bear would come out and read a fairy tale, behind the tree is The Gap and Piercing Pagoda

DAY 9,5 // PB // PictureBlog

I told my mom how I would love to have a ''Hardanger bunad'' (national dress from another town). She actually told me that her dad(my grandpa) would been so proud if i had one, since my other family is born there. She also told me that, I should wish for it one day. Maybe I'll !

My mom told me that my grandmother actually died at the hospital but she refused any medication. That's exactly the way I think, I don't want any medication if I get ill. God made our body as it is. Why do we have to put things in ourself just to ''feel'' better?

(Remember, that's my theory.)

I really would like to try cello one day, been thinking about it for a while. It's such a beautiful instrument, and the dark sound is like a magic soul dancing.

Magic Glamour Ghoul Convention Doll redressed

Inside a magic shop, cut in half! This was the first photo I tried tweaking the environment before taking the snapshot. There's another where Hilly actually looks dead - her eyes are closed and her skin pale, but you can't really tell what's going on with the box, so I chose this one.

The magic of Zyler and FaceApp.

Magic turns to the darker side.

I've been making tiny book bookmarks, earrings and necklaces with a letter or initials on them on and off from December 2014.

Recently I was asked to make a magic book.

So I made several of them and I really enjoyed myself.

These are Spells, Love potions and Blue star magic book.

Mark ‘Spoonman’ Petrakis and I are experimenting with new interactive storytelling ideas, from shadow puppets to poetic robots.

Our first experiment is ‘Ubu’s Dreams’, a shadow puppet show featuring Père Ubu, the hero of Alfred Jarry’s surreal plays at the turn of the last century. In this show, Ubu is constantly dreaming, interacting with archetypal characters from our collective unconscious. Each of his dreams is a separate sketch in our play and lasts about a minute.

For our second rehearsal, we ran through a new scene: dream #8. In this dream, Ubu climbs up a set of stairs and walks through a door to a bedroom where strange animals are sleeping. He realizes he’s in a church when a cross hits him and he is woken up by the sound of a goat -- as shown by the keyframes in this photo-set. See links below to learn more about Ubu’s Dreams.

In this quick test, Mark read the script as the voice of Ubu, and we both moved puppets and props from each side of the stage. These tests are helping us explore different ways to illustrate these stories with only lights and shadows.

We plan to develop this concept through the summer and perform this show during our Dada exhibit this fall at the Canessa Gallery in North Beach. And I’m also developing a ‘Magic Theater’ course combining maker art and storytelling for our lower and middle school students.

Magic

March 2016

On a warm spring morning you look down Main Street and this becomes your view. Your eyes fixed on this scene of magic and possibility. The sights, sounds, and smells bring an instant smile to your face and all you wish is that this day would last forever.

Ok I'm not sure why this caught my eye. I was browsing in the Frontier Trading Post for some pins with friends. I'm not into trading pins (yet), but I my friends are big fans of the sport. I guess you could compare their pin trading to my love of photography that brings us back to the parks.
