Sky Bridge at the Portland World Trade Center, Winter Light Festival 2020

Large water body with hills forming the back drop on one side , field on the other side and the small approach bridge on one side of the lake provided perfect point for making some landscape images.

Going through my photo stream, I realised that friends who had once been regular on flickr were inactive now. I felt sad that I have lost a few good friends.

Magic lantern created by nature. Tragopogon orientalis is a meadow plant, I really loved its silhouette against the setting sun. 💚🌅

The predawn light was so soft and the colors wonderfully intense and almost surreal in this Civil Twilight 2 minute exposure at Convict Lake. It didn't take long for reality to set in. Within about 5 minutes the light quickly increased turning harsher and more yellowish. The magic was gone. Yet another reminder to me to arrive at location and start shooting early for best light and those special moments.

Magic Dance - David Bowie

youtu.be/FfccgkG6Og8

You remind me of the babe, power of voodoo

You remind me of the babe

(What babe?)

The babe with the power

The power of voodoo

(Who do?)

You do

Remind me of the babe

I saw my baby

Crying hard as babe could cry

What could I do?

My baby's love had gone

And left my baby blue

Nobody knew

What kind of magic spell to use?

What kind of magic spell to use?

Thunder or lightning?

Then baby said

Dance magic, dance (dance magic, dance)

Dance magic, dance (dance magic, dance)

Put that baby's spell on me

Jump magic, jump (jump magic, jump)

Jump magic, jump (jump magic, jump)

Put that magic jump on me

Slap that baby, make him free

Despite it being all around, we get lost in the details and fail to notice the magic that lights our path all the while.

My thanks to Christi, once again.

In the hiking trail, my wife was watching a message from my daughter. :-)

Xitou is located in the Phoenix hill of Lugu village, and is embraced by mountains from three sides. Its name is derived from the Chinese meaning: the origin of the river (Beishi River). Xitou has plenty of rains, and is cool and moist all the year round. Therefore, it is one of the most famous resort spots in summer and the most romantic place for new couples to spend their honeymoons. Xitou is part of the experimental forest belonging to the National Taiwan University, and here grows cedars, Chamaecyparis obtuse, red spruces, Phyllostachys edulis, and many other different kinds of trees. Except for a small well-preserved natural broad-leaves forest, most parts of this area have been developed and cultivated purposely. Generally speaking, the feature of the forest here is beautiful and tidy. Here you can visit the unique pure ginkgo forest, the rare plant of redwood, the divine tree 46 meter high and 16 meter broad and with an age approaching 3,000, Youth's Activity Center, birds observing footpath, hotels, restaurants, camping area and so on.

October Magic Pink Perplexion Camellia is named for the difficulty in describing the color 🎨 It is a semi-dwarf plant that spreads to a rounded, compact growth. The soft pink flowers remind one of Camellia japonica's ‘Pink Perfection’❕

This view captured at Vallø at 1 am shows Furustrand and Ringshaug. An amazing light on the night sky.

Life is a journey up a spiral staircase; as we grow older we cover the ground covered we have covered before, only higher up; as we look down the winding stair below us we measure our progress by the number of places where we were but no longer are. The journey is both repetitious and progressive; we go both round and upward

I wanted to try something different today!

This is obviously a toy butterfly and this is a HDR shot!

The little butterflies flew from this old shot of mine....

to this new one!

My shot reminded me this song!

Happy Sunday my FrindS!

Deep in the forest, where sunlight dappled through the tall pines, there stood a small, old craftsman’s house. Its roof sagged slightly under the weight of moss, and ivy wound up its weathered beams as though it were hugging a dear friend. Around the house, wildflowers and herbs grew in a riot of colors—lavender, foxglove, thyme, and forget-me-nots, as if nature itself had decided to decorate the place.

No one in the nearby village knew who lived there. The windows were always closed, and the door never creaked open, yet the little house never seemed abandoned. In spring, smoke sometimes curled from the chimney, scented faintly of rosemary and sage.

Children dared each other to tiptoe through the flowers, whispering that a fairy must live inside. They said she appeared only to those with pure hearts and desperate wishes. Many times, a child would leave a broken toy, a lost locket, or a wish written on a leaf at the doorstep—and often, by morning, the toy was mended, the locket polished, or the wish answered in some quiet, uncanny way.

Once, a boy left his wooden flute, split down the middle from a fall. He returned the next day to find it whole, gleaming with a new, smooth finish, and when he played it, the sound was sweeter than ever before.

And so the house remained a secret friend to all in need, a quiet mystery wrapped in wildflowers and the scent of thyme. Whether a fairy lived there or something older, kinder, and quieter, no one knew. But the forest seemed to smile upon those who believed.
