Liam has figured out how to use the mouse - including how to right-click a mouse that doesn't actually have any buttons (the Apple Mighty Mouse).

Here, he is demonstrating not only his mastery of the mouse but also his understanding of "one of these things is not like the other."

The question was, "which of these things do firefighters NOT use to fight fires?" Without hesitation Liam clicked on the flower pot.

Click.

My little geek. I'm so proud!

The most elegant case and internal setup I've ever seen.

Ahhhh, it's like Christmas has come early! This baby can do a lot of Flickr'ing.

Behold, the power of cheese...

The curtain is a birthday gift from my mum. The little shelf above the bed is for the remote control and my eye-glasses during the night. You see, no room for a bedside table.

Last week I broke up a hard disk that ticked, and got the two powerful(!) magnets off. The clock on the heating unit was always falling, so I used the magnet to keep it on the metal surface. Lucky, as the clock has a metal surface, too. It is not entirely plastic.

For me the best example of what makes Apple special is the old Mac Pro. When designing a tower, the aim is to develop a machine that’s expandable and often form follows function in the cheapest possible way. Apple’s tower is the a piece of brilliant design full of fantastic touches. The ability to expand it without any tools. Plastic pieces edging pressed metal sections to that you don’t cut yourself. Sliding draws to make replacing hard disks simple. Even labelling to help you understand where things go. Most of this is never seen. Yet Apple’s designers didn’t compromise. The internal of a product should be as well designed as the externals. This is something few in the business can match. For me the Mac Pro tower is another Apple design classic.

this is an updated picture of this set up.

For the music gear heads out there: The monitors are Focal CMS 65, the soundcard is a Focusrite Saffire PRO 24, the MIDI controller is a Korg SP-250 and the MacPro is running Logic Pro X.

This is my final photo for the 366 Days of 2008 group on Flickr. It does "sum up" my year because I spend a lot of time in this spot when I'm home. Since the hard drive on my other computer died, I'm very happy to be "back in business" and able to work with my photos and upload them to Flickr. I do feel that my future is bright. I have met many nice people in the 366 Days of 2008 group and hope to see them again in the 365 Days of 2009 group.

I will start the New Year 2009 learning to use my new Mac Pro. This photo was edited using iPhoto and uploaded with Safari. Today my brother-in-law is coming to set up more things on my Mac Pro: my email, download necessary software (Open Office) and other things. I'm excited.

NOTE: Bobby has downloaded Open Office, we've set up my email, he connected my speakers and got my new HP Photosmart C8180 All-in-One printer connected to the wireless Internet. After a brief break, Bobby came back over and set up my Treo Smartphone and my iPod.

Brought this one on amazon for my new MacBook 12.

For the price 14 euros is fantastic, and ivery attractive.

Fixing a old MacBook Pro for my uncle. Slot drive not working so tried installing from Snow Leopard disc on the Mac Pro. Didn't manage to get it to work from three different Snow Leopard installation disc.

A 2010 Mac Pro donated by a friend.

I tried really hard to get it as square as I could, but it was tricky. We'll all just have to live with the slight askewness.

I was at the Apple Store Mall of Lunghezza (East Rome), near Rome; and I immediately thought to put a photo on flickr! :-)

Bought one for my daughter.

This was taken just prior to the tragic crash of the Hawker Hunter jet this afternoon.

I'm pretty excited about my new desk. It's simple but effective. It doesn't have any drawers, which is good because I find them conducive to clutter anyway.

I bought this magic trackpad without realizing that my macpro doesn't have bluetooth........I have been searching for a bluetooth adapter but haven't found one that works. I may have to return this inviting magic trackpad. :-(

Resetting the Mac Pro Logic Board can resolve many of your Mac Pro's system problems. When resetting the Logic Board there are three reset switches that you can use to troubleshoot various symptoms. Resetting the SMC is one of these reset options and is used to address issues related to power. Learn more at www.macusersguide.com/2009/06/reseting-the-logicboard/

My brand new Mac Pro ingested some Starbucks doubleshot coffee the other day. The juice got splattered around a bit by these two fans, but incredibly all vital organs were spared contamination.
