This machine is in the chip shop at Beamish Museum. Without thinking, I thought ‘chips’. Looking closely, the housing on the business end is the wrong shape. I think, just a mincer. The interesting part is the internal combustion engine running on town gas.

Roger Rags Segal was left stranded in London when the Sorry & The Sinatras tour was cancelled so friends rallied round to help him out with living costs and beer money, Rich Jones of The Loyalties organised the gig in fine punk as rock style.
The Eureka Machines provided a short 'support' set before the newly formed and never rehearsed together 'Dollar$ for Deadbeat$' crammed onto the small stage for some sweaty punk rocking.

Rolling machine used to flatten freshly processed rubber sheets. The machine is used not only to flatten the rubber but also the pattern on the rolling pins prevents the sheets from sticking to each other.
My late grandfather was a rubber smallholder and we had a couple of these machines. But sadly I could not locate any of these anymore at my grandfather's. These rolling machines are now extremely rare as rubber sheets production is going the way of the dodo's. And so does the machine.
PS:These are test pictures taken from my newly acquired Zeiss Super Ikonta III folder with 75mm f/3.5 Tessar lens from the 1950's.

We will have a washing machine soon,,,,,so far we don't have it.
My three boys helped a lot to their mum throught this way...............
The generators in the machine hall. They've been upgraded from 100MW to 135MW including fitting more efficient turbines. The red display board half way down the right hand wall indicates the system is was producing 525.9MW when the picture was taken. The heat from the generators kept the viewing platform at about 30C.

This soft drink machine sits on the side of the road a little south of where I live. The cans of drink at 75 cents and all the buttons say "Mystery" and vend a random drink to you.
It's fun although I got root beer and do not like it.
A commemorative sculpture depicting one of the flying machines made by Robert Blackburn. Filey pioneered British aircraft, Blackburn built a flying school and landing strip near the beach in 1910 and had trial flights over the town and around the bay. His designs were built in his Leeds workshop and tested at Filey. Robert Blackburn's company is now better known as British Aerospace at Brough. The main flying machine test pilot was Bentfield C. Hucks, he's credited with being the first aviator to fly upside down.
this is the same as a Linotype machine. It orignally was used at the Portland Press Herald. At the top is a big magazine of little molds matrices for pouring hot lead to create lines of type. An operator sat in front of this and typed in a sentence; with each keystroke a mold drops down from the magazine overhead and once the whole line of molds is in place, hot lead is poured in to create one full line of lead type. Every single line of a whole newspaper used to be made this way! After the printing is done, you can melt down the lead to use again. At the Dunstan Press in Scarborough, Maine.
