This is the same kingfisher I posted a few days ago! I was behind a woven willow blind along the estuary shielding from the wind having a cup of tea! I normally stop there hoping the kingfisher would appear, I was in luck this time!

I am not generally that successful at bird photography even when I have consciously gone out to see birds. This shot of the chaffinch was pure luck. Mary and I were on a walk recently I had taken a shot or two of some wild flowers . I spotted the bird and took a couple of shots without changing settings not really expecting anything reasonable. In fact I am quite pleased with this one I know it could be sharper but for a grab shot its not too bad . It is very heavily cropped
Hope you are all managing to cope in this strange New World we are living in . Of course I hope you and yours remain well and safe
THANKS FOR YOUR VISITING BUT CAN I ASK YOU NOT TO FAVE AN IMAGE WITHOUT ALSO MAKING A COMMENT. MANY THANKS KEITH. ANYONE MAKING MULTIPLE FAVES WITHOUT COMMENTS WILL SIMPLY BE BLOCKED
This bird is a member of the Trogon Family and endemic to the Western range of mountains in India and a small forest on the eastern side. Out of 3 Trogon species found in India, this is the only one found in the South.
The birds are very shy and not easy to photograph, but they are quite curious trying to see what happens around. They tend to sit on open branches like this one usually around 4-5 m height and scan their heads 180 deg slowly from right to left or left to right.
We sighted both male and female, but the male landed on beautiful clear perches giving us good opportunities for shots.
This is my 4th trip to get a shot of this bird and the previous ones were all unsuccessful though I sighted it every time. This trip - luck was with me though as I was able to take shots in different angles and perches.
Thank you so much in advance for your views, feedback and faves.
Dice only.
I find dice to be be excellent subjects to shoot.
I have quite a few dice. I collect them as I go.
Happy Smile on Saturday
I had really luck that I saw the squirrel plundering the feeder and frantically looking for hiding places. So I could creep into the garden and catch him just in time, even in the sunshine :-)
Thanks for the image, little squirrel.

If you buy your marzipan (or other sweet) directly here in Lübeck at the Niederegger store and have it wrapped, you will receive the red and white ribbon as a bow. This has been the trademark for decades.
In the photo is only ribbon to see, even the background
Thanks for all your views, *** and (critical) kind review :))

You start life with a full pot of luck and an empty pot of experience. The objective is to fill the pot of experience before you empty the pot of luck

Le halo autour de Sea Luck n'est pas un artifice Lightroom ou Photoshop. Je ne sais pas d'où il vient, mais il y est.
You definitely need these two things in wildlife photography patience and luck if they both happen at once you sometimes get a nice shot. super chuffed to watch this right in front of me including all the build up!
Some wants proof of Good Luck
They keep searching
Will I find it 🍀 they ask themselves
Instead of looking around you
Why not look within
The luck you are searching is there
I know that for sure
Deal with your own shit instead of getting annoyed upon others'
You probably have the same things to deal with
But its easier to see others'
Find peace with yourself
Luck will come
Happiness too
And why not say
I love you
More often
To yourself and to others
The world would be a better place for us all if we do so
Have a lovable day
I love you ❤

they use to say that the ladybug is a good-luck charm...
dedicated to a special person of my family...hoping for his good health!
sorry for my absence here...i'll come back soon!
a big hug to everyone will think to me :)
I didn't do all so well with the elk rut at RMNP this past fall, but I did have a couple of exquisite sessions with moose. Be sure and check him large with a couple of clicks.
Thinking back on the lighting challenge here - butt light - I did have that two mornings in a row: praying, begging the fellow(s) to give it just a smidge of body turn or head turn to pick up that sunlight. Patience and luck are key.
Personally, I don't believe in luck, but I like the pic rusty old, lichen covered horseshoe.

The ladybug / ladybird is considered lucky in many countries.
A ladybug will bring you good luck if one lands on you.
Let the ladybug go and watch which way she flies and that is the way your answer lays.
Folklore says if you find a ladybug in your home, count the number of spots on her back and that is how many dollars you will find.
Killing a ladybug will bring you sadness and misfortune.
Many farmers consider ladybugs lucky because the eat some of the bad insects that spoil crops.
A ladybug is good luck if they land on your hand on a Sunday and you can count to 22 before she flies away.
Kleine Lücken können interessant gefüllt sein. Hier am Beyenburger Stausee. Die Enten sind es gewohnt, an dieser Stelle gefüttert zu werden.
Nature fills many gaps. The ducks probably thought I wanted to feed them.
‘Standing out from the crowd!’. I liked this lone tree juxtaposed with the small copse, a local scene and as you can see we have floods from storm Dennis - managed to get this in-between the heavy showers. I hope you’ve survived the storms OK, Alan:-)
366 - I’ve decided to do this to force me to pick up a camera other than when we are away on our travels (they will be posted as normal) - I will be interested to see what transpires, they will be varied I’m sure so we’ll see where inspiration takes me over the course of the year, hopefully at the end of it I will be a better photographer. Feel free to critique as you see fit, but please don’t feel obliged, I anticipate they will not be to all tastes. Have a great year and if you also have embarked on a 365 project then good luck in seeing it through, Alan:-)
