H-H Electronics first came to my attention a few years ago when the UK magazine 'Hi-Fi World' did a retrospective review of the TPA50-D. I now have a small collection of TPA Series units together with their BBC spec little brother - the AM8/12 mono block power amplifier shown here.

The H-H AM8/12 is uniquely designed to operate with the famous BBC Specification Studio Monitor (Loudspeaker) model LS3/5a. There is a switch mounted inside the amplifier that allows the frequency response of the unit to be modified. When the switch is in the 'down' position, the frequency response is 'flat' and the amplifier is suitable for general purpose use with larger speakers. When the switch is in the 'up' position the frequency response is 'corrected' to match the characteristics of the LS3/5a loudspeaker.

The manufacturer's specification can be found here:-

The Chevrolet C6 was designed by Tom Peters and built in Bowling Green, Kentucky the C6 featured new body work and exposed headlights, for the yime since the 1962 model year., revised suspension geometry and a larger passenger compartment despite the car being 5.1 inches shorter than the C5 achieved with a 1.2 inch longer wheelbase It is also one inch (2.5 cm) narrower.

The 6.0 L LS2 V8 emgine produced 400 hp, Like the C5, the Corvette C6's suspension consisted of independent unequal-length double wishbones with transverse fiberglass mono-leaf springs and optional magnetorheological dampers. GM badges were added to the car in 2006.

For 2008 the C6 received a new 6.2 litre LS3 V8 engine bringing a power increase to 430bhp The previous Tremec T56 transmission on manual Corvettes was replaced with a new version, the TR6060 with improved shift linkage and the automatic model is set up for quicker shifts, also from 2008 on steering was revised for improved feel and the wheels were updated to a new five-spoke design.

The high performance Zo6 arrived in 2006 with the largest-displacement small-block engine ever produced, a new 7,011 cc (7.0 L; 427.8 cu in) V8 engine codenamed LS7 producing 505 bhp and the car is also the lightest of all Corvette models The frame of the Z06 is constructed from aluminum, saving 136 pounds (61 kg) over the standard steel frame. Other weight saving measures such as balsa wood/carbon fiber composite floors and a magnesium alloy engine cradle were used. The Z06's body differentiates itself from the standard Corvette with its larger front and rear fenders and an intake inlet scoop on the front bumper. The front fenders are constructed with carbon fiber and the rear fenders contain ducts to aid in cooling the rear brakes.

The enhanced performance VE range sold by Holden Special Vehicles (HSV) (Holden Special Vehicles) was marketed as the E Series, comprising the Clubsport, Vauxhall VXR, GTS, Maloo (Utility), Senator, Senator SV08, and the W427

The GTS fundamental underpinnings are based on the mainstream VE Commodore models of the same years. The car is powered by GM's 6.2 litre LS3 V8 engine, with a maximum power output of 442 PS (325 kW). Buyers have the option of a six-speed manual transmission or six-speed automatic transmission; the manual is capable of reaching 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in 5.5 seconds and the automatic is capable of 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in 5.6 seconds. the E Series Series GTS was powered by a 6 litre V8 of 412bhp a more powereful unit than the cheaper Clubsport and more expensive Senator.

Replaced by the Seies 2 in September 2009 which had a more powerful drivetrain with the same GM LS3 6.2L V8 engine but while the rest of the HSV range still have 317 kW or 425 bhp, the GTS engine is rated at (325 kW). Twin bonnet scoops returned . and the model also featured f launch control on manual versions, a recalibrated version of the magnetic ride control suspension with stiffer springs for the HSV GTS, wider wheels and a new high-flow dual-mode muffler system

The Series 3 arrived in September 2010 It carried the same motor and drivetrain as before, and only minor changes to the exterior. In this series HSV focused on changes to the interior of the car as well as major upgrades to the computer systems and a new electronic interface External changes included the shock wave exhaust tips and grilles and new HID Xenon adaptive projector headlamps.
