Lower Ngau Tau Kok Estate was built in mid-60. For management purpose, the Estate was divided into two parts since 1973 - the Lower Ngau Tau Kok (I) Estate (Blocks 1 to 7) and Blocks 8 to 14 belonged to the Lower Ngau Tau Kok (II) Estate.
Blocks 8 to 12 of Lower Ngau Tau Kok Estate were the first resettlement blocks built with prefabricated parts, demolition of these blocks in 2011 had to be extremely careful to avoid a ‘domino effect’ which may lead to massive collapsing. Computer-aided control of all demolition procedures was first tried on this site.
If you're brave enough, you can climb a very strenuous trail to the top of Upper Yosemite Falls. I was brave enough to climb the rocks nearby, so that's a start!
