Lower Fox Creek School (1882)
Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve is located in the Flint Hills of Eastern Kansas. It is co-operated by the National Park Service and the Nature Conservatory, and it preserves one of the largest remaining sections of tallgrass prairie in the United States.
I was waiting for a sunset shot with my 300mm lens when I looked back and saw this sailor lowering the flag. The camera was on full manual. Fortunately, the settings were perfect, since I just pointed and shot. I cropped it down to a 1:1.25 aspect.

I used Windows "Live Movie Maker" to merge a short video of the waterfall with several stills from the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, but the video is jerky and pixelated no matter which computer I try to play it back on.... maybe because I recorded it in HD video and the video player (Adobe Flash Player) can't handle it.... hmmmm will have to get out the manual and see what I can figure out. Any advice? One of our engineers here said it was probably my older video card...

The Lower School Concert was held on Thursday, 9th February at 7.00pm in the Main Hall at Upper School. All Year 7 boys will took part in this Concert together with New Little Band, Year 7 Rock School Band, Junior Jazz Ensemble, Samba Group and a number of excellent solo performers from both Year 7 and 8 boys.
