This blue hour photograph was taken from the Heritage Bridge of Lower Seletar Reservoir, looking West. The candle-stick shaped lights in the foreground illuminated the activity area, while other lights illuminated the paved paths along the banks of the Reservoir. It was a calm morning, which resulted in attractive reflections of the clouds and parts of the Reservoir.
The name of the village of Lower Slaughter stems from the Old English name for a wet land 'slough' or 'slothre' (Old English for muddy place) upon which it lies. This quaint village sits beside the little Eye stream and is known for its unspoilt limestone cottages in the traditional Cotswold style.
The stream running through the village is crossed by two small bridges.

My favorite falls in Hocking Hills raging after the snow melt and heavy rain. Glad to see the water breaking free again just in time for March and the Spring to come.

Lower Kachura Lake, also known as Shangrila Lake, is a lake located near the city of Skardu in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. Situated at the height of 2,500 metres (8,200 ft), it has had an operational resort for tourists on its bank since 1983. Through the architectural work of the resort and the background Karakoram hills, the landscapes of the lake make it one of the attractive tourist destinations within the northern Pakistan

Giant reflections glimmer in the Hudson river providing an extra dimension to the colossal nature of the architecture of Lower Manhattan. The site of the original colony of New Amsterdam, that eventually became New York City, Lower Manhattan is now most frequently associated with wall street and the financial district. Love Life, Love Photography
This dawn photograph was taken three months ago at Lower Seletar Reservoir looking towards Heritage Bridge and beyond.
The scattered clouds were illuminated differently, brightly or in darker shades, above and beyond the Heritage Bridge. The contrasting reflections in the Reservoir provided further interests to the dawn landscape.

A half-second exposure of a cascade below Merriman Falls near Olympic National Park, with moss-covered boulders in the foreground.
Yellowstone National Park….While there are many waterfalls in Yellowstone Park, the lower falls are the most visited and viewed. These falls have a 308 ft drop! Thunderous noise on impact. Unfortunately I only had my iPhone with me and it didn’t focus well. I’m still very pleased that I have my memories of it!

One of my favorite places to spend time at: the lower falls at Southford Falls State Park just before the covered bridge. Just feeds the soul with peaceful waterfall sounds and gorgeous scenery. The full color version can be found here.

I had the day off on Wednesday and made an impromptu excursion to a place I'd never been. WTA had it as a level five mile in and out with a waterfall for a payoff. Cool, I'm up for that. I don't know how many miles it was but I think I nearly doubled the five looking at the many beauties of the Little Mashel River. Tough place to photograph due to brush and trees and the narrowest of muddy (I mean quagmire) trails plus it rained most of the time which meant hand held with an umbrella in the left hand over the camera. :-) Once again the pics do nothing to represent the awe inspired here, the place is just magnificent. the roar and wind from the falls right here is indescribable, mostly because, as I'd soon discover, there is a much larger one around the hidden corner.... :-) Have I mentioned how much I love living in a rain forest? :)

The chain bridge that spans the River Danube between Buda and Pest, the western and eastern sides of Budapest, the capital of Hungary. It was the first permanent bridge across the Danube in Hungary, designed by English engineer William Tierney Clark and built by Scottish engineer Adam Clark. It was opened in 1849. It is anchored on the Pest side of the river to Széchenyi Square (formerly Roosevelt Square), adjacent to the Gresham Palace and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and on the Buda side to Adam Clark Square, near the Zero Kilometre Stone and the lower end of the Castle Hill Funicular, leading to Buda Castle.
The bridge bears the name of István Széchenyi, a major supporter of its construction, but is most commonly known as the "Chain Bridge". At the time of its construction, it was regarded as a marvel of modern engineering.
