I love simplicity and I love macro. What could be better than it when the two are combined together?

Have a great Wednesday!

This is just repost of archive shot in 2013.

We said photographers have different eyes and they are interested in things that others may not be even looking at.

Sometimes we wonder what they are shooting. So we also said they love colours, tones, textures, lines or whatever. Because we just can’t find the clear subject in the shot!

I think people would say the same thing with my macro ……. :o)

Have a great Wednesday!

I've always loved macro, how the photos reveal all sorts of amazing detail that you don't normally see. I especially love damselflies, as they have these amazing big eyes. I felt very lucky to see one today and get a shot of it.

There is always a battle to find a good object. Sometimes it becomes grey, monotonous even miserable too! This was an overlooking chapter for sure as it can’t be visible in static condition even from a little distance. While flying, you can only feel and apply your follow through technique to find it. But the fact is that these guys have nearly enough surveillance capacity. My eyes should have been remaining foggy if it didn’t fly from one branch to the other. Despite my lots of doubt, my interest level was started to align with it for at least one shot; but who knows its next move would have been leaving a potentially loving consequence. Truly it was the most glamorous campaign – finally!!

Sometimes photos don't quite turn out how we plan...like this one.🙈 I was intending to take a crisp macro shot of these water droplets, but instead I ended up with this dreamy abstract looking image. Which I love, by the way, much more than the image I thought I was taking 💜

What photos have you taken that you've loved more than the planned shot?

I can’t determine the scale to palpate this grandness; in those few moments with this splendor rather someone’s past worries can be momentarily faded away! Before taking this photo I closed my eyes to invigorate my senses and imagination!

It croaked like a pig in a poke and asked for a lot of attention, which resulted in my first attempt at frog photography. My parents-in-law were waiting for me, so I had to work fast and this was the photo I took. .....

Maybe that's why they're called GRASShoppers? :)

No clue as to the species, but I liked its colors and its microhabitat in my grass. And, like I often do when photographing, I was lying on my belly to get this shot.

I love macro photography. It opens up a whole 'new' world that we so often are unaware of.

Just having a play with some glitter and snowflake table decorations...and my new toy! I am very lucky...for Christmas my husband bought me a new macro lens - with IS. Oh, what a difference it makes, mind you I used the tripod for this shot as I'd left it a little late in the day and the light was failing. I've always loved macro but I think I'm going to love it even more now!

This is the closest we'll get to a white Christmas...thankfully!

I wish you a happy Macro Monday and a great week!

Pearl and diamond are the symbols for 30 years. The pop up tree has hearts for leaves.
