This is a macro of a Mafalda Pasta that I played with the colors. I've separated some to take pictures and they've been sitting on my dressing table for over 2 months now... hahahaha
They finally had their moment under the spotlight today before going to the bin! haha
I love macro! I dream about having the money to buy a proper macro lens... Till that day comes I'll have fun with my macro ring! =P
Thanks for all the comments and faves, Flickr Friends!

Love Exposure's layout!
Now the summer temperature and humidity is showing off how to ravage at unprecedented level but this moment was obviously the hottest part of the day. Before it takes an aggressive posture this guy was really cool. Somehow it noticed that my lens is getting closer and closer. Whenever I was releasing the shutter button, I observed that it was replying back with its sudden movement and certainly not showing too much of interest on it. At certain time both of us were involved in single minded activity – you may call it a ‘photo session’!!
Perhaps it was too much & finally I was just warned at this moment and this guy was ready to take off for its initial sortie against me!
After all bees and wasp also have right to end the photo session!
I have been away for almost 3 months now due to lack of time and motivation (lame excuse).
Anyway, I just got myself a new toy! I recently acquired a second hand dedicated macro kit at a very good price and I thought I'd test it on some tiny crawlers in my backyard. Then I found this little fella jumping around...
The lens I bought was the canon MP-E 65mm and boy was it challenging to use? There really is a learning curve for this lens but because I love macro photography I wanted to make the most out of this glass. Still a long way to go.
I will try my best to catch up on your posts! Happy Easter everyone!

MacroMarcie!!!
I changed my screen name because I love macros and, unfortunately, I have not been traveling much lately so it seems silly to have the name of TravelChick!
After the horrendous wet weather of yesterday, this pretty leaf was still wet but shone out with natural beauty in the morning sunshine!
After the dark! comes the light!

Got my first jumping spider photo! Little guy sat around long enough to get a few shots, then it proceeded to jump on me lol
She was loud. Even I could hear her from a few miles at least. This is you who are facing deadly pandemic, world war, economic depression. This is you who are hiding under a burgeoning curve where time smells stale. Time is fine for us we don’t have to maintain social distancing.
I tried to say her something but she flew. Question is what should we write? Can we write our guilt which caused losing so many lives? Or shall we write to reach hope where it always hides in the darkest cloud? – Perhaps next time she.....!!
I love macro shooting. It always reminds me that all subjects are defined by forms, lines and colours.
This is the March month for green colour because of the Celtic celebration. I am shooting the springing green in the neighbour's front yard this afternoon.
Have a great weekend everyone!
I love simplicity and I love macro. What could be better than it when the two are combined together?
Have a great Wednesday!
This is just repost of archive shot in 2013.
We said photographers have different eyes and they are interested in things that others may not be even looking at.
Sometimes we wonder what they are shooting. So we also said they love colours, tones, textures, lines or whatever. Because we just can’t find the clear subject in the shot!
I think people would say the same thing with my macro ……. :o)
Have a great Wednesday!
I've always loved macro, how the photos reveal all sorts of amazing detail that you don't normally see. I especially love damselflies, as they have these amazing big eyes. I felt very lucky to see one today and get a shot of it.
Ok I'm one happy girl =D thought I would stay up a little later than norm, too hard to play with the camera when the kids are awake.
So this is what I got after a long day of trying to figure out how to get a sharp refraction!
Any one care to take a guess what my water prop is? hehe.
Oh and this is not cropped!!!! yay love macro.
This is a shot with my new macro lens for my mirrorless camera.. I can't get over how sharp the pictures are from this setup...
That was during the infantile day light when she posed for my sensor with a threat -‘not to cross the LOC’!
ODC=I most enjoy photographing
I really do love macro photography for the world it reveals that we miss seeing with the naked eye.

Sometimes photos don't quite turn out how we plan...like this one.🙈 I was intending to take a crisp macro shot of these water droplets, but instead I ended up with this dreamy abstract looking image. Which I love, by the way, much more than the image I thought I was taking 💜
What photos have you taken that you've loved more than the planned shot?
