Happy Mother’s Day!
Today is Mother’s Day or Motherly Day that was celebrated for centuries in the UK. It falls typically on the last Sunday in Lent (40 days before Easter in the Christian calendar), and in the past become a day when domestic servants were given a day off to visit their mother church. In the past it was often the only time when whole family was able to get together. Nowadays, it’s great way to show your love and say thank you to your mothers, and also to boost up local economy. Bath, England, UK.

Hidden in the darkest corners of the forest, these Frosty Bonnets are translucent and only 4 - 5 mm high.
assignment for this week's Macro Mondays theme "Heart"
This is a thorny twig with a water droplet reflecting its background - a piece of white paper with a red heart printed in the middle, placed upside down to get it right side up :-). The length of the thorn in the photo is 0.4“ (1cm).
Wish you all a wonderful Valentine's Day with your loved ones!

Both of these duckies were gifts from my SIL who knows how much I love macros and duckies— perfect, right? The tiny ducky fits on a dime— there’s a size verification shot and a set-up shot for this posting in my photostream.

A harvestman with a parasitic mite attached.
This is one of those moments in which I saw the harvestman and a red dot, but I had no idea what I was seeing until I took the shot(s). Gotta love macro lenses!

These are a pair of my favourite earrings. I love that they are made by a local artisan. I love how I feel when I wear them. I love the bold colour because it was my mom’s favourite colour. Happy Macro Mondays!

7 Spot Ladybird - Coccinella septempunctata
This is why I love macro photography, I had no idea when taking the shot that the ladybird was holding a aphid. I just thought it was taking a chance to bathe in the March sun.
I love macro photography because it is way simple to find around compare to landscape. I just want to post my recent pictures most of the time. the pictures give me temporary pleasure. Happy Easter!

... though I am no big / talented cook sometimes even I rattle the pots and pans ... and the wooden spoon (but this lovely decorative and handcrafted spoon I won't use - it will stay idle ;))
[width of this image: 6,5 cm at most - the heart is 2,5 cm and the spoon is 5,5 cm wide]
Happy Macro Monday, everyone !!

This week's assignment for Macro Mondays is take macro's of something ordinary. That is a very wide concept and I came up with this. I bought nails to hang my pictures on the wall but you can also take pictures of the nails. Which picture of course we can hang on the wall. How did I do this? No magic here. Just a piece of red paper as background and a coloured light which shines on my subject. HMM everyone!
A wonderful gift from Italy from my hubby. I rarely use any perfume but when I do this elegant flavour is fresh and exquisite. Dolce Gabbana eau de perfume.
This is why I love macro photography. I have been doing it for a number of years now and I still regularly find subjects that I've never seen before. A Speckled Sharpshooter that I photographed this morning at Brookside Gardens in Maryland 6/20/23. I've seen the orange and blue sharpshooters before but this one has a completely different color scheme and completely different patterns.
A plate of Fresh Homemade Spaghetti and Meatballs.. Cooking from love and sharing it with someone you love fills my heart. Happy Valentines Day! ♥️

This was taken on our recent trip to The Osa Peninsula . There are many species to see and photograph especially for the people who love macro. This little iguana was beautiful to see and even more fun to photograph. Our world is endless in it;s incredible beauty !
Wishing you an awesome and blessed day !!
