'The Station Hotel' and for a while in the 1970s, 'The Chocolate Poodle'. Closed some time before 2009. Now residential flats.

The Lost Peninsula is a tiny sliver of Michigan separated from the rest of the state. One can only drive to the Lost Peninsula from Ohio. This situation came as a result of the Toledo War; in 1836 Ohio gained a sliver of land including Toledo and Michigan gained the Upper Peninsula. The way the line was drawn separated the Lost Peninsula from the rest of Michigan.
The Lost & Found Guy walks about the festival site wearing items that have been found over the course of the weekend. My friend Susan lost an earring sometime Saturday and when L&FG walked up the aisle at mainstage on Sunday, she asked him about it. He responded that yes, someone had found the earring, so she went to the lost and found tent and sure enough, it had been found.
We went over to Rye in East Sussex on Saturday. There was something that caught Phill's eye which he wanted to photograph. Whilst he was doing that I walked over to this little church where I found this memorial in the graveyard. By the time Phill caught up with me I was in floods of tears. The ship they were trying to help was from my father's home town of Riga in Latvia. It brought it home even more to me how these guys lay their lives on the line for complete strangers and carry on doing so today without receiving any payment. The RNLI is such a marvellous institution and I only wish that it was fully funded by the Government and didn't have to rely on charity donations.

It's a lovely place filled with charming nooks and crannies to sit for a while, relax and enjoy the soothing musical stream or perhaps have a game of scrabble or even a chess game.
