There were a couple of climbers here, but I guess pick your method of ascent. The goal (for me) would be to get to the very top. But this whole "Lost City" is like one big puzzle or maze if you want to make your way up to the top. I scaled some massive and steep rocks, found numerous caves and crevices that unfortunately led to dead ends or deep pits. I did not make it to the top, so my goal will have to be taken up again another time. You can spend hours here. Get lost here, maybe even disappear here. But wait! There's more......

What a fabulous night! 2 hours with the cast of LOST, along with J.J. Abrams, Damon Lindelof, and 'other' producers haha...and Jimmy Kimmel hosting...good stuff. AND WE FOUND OUT WHAT THE SECRET OF THE ISLAND IS!

....yeah right.

Lost in Wonderland

Model: Camilla Upson

Location: St Dunstan in the East Church, London

Eine verlassene Gegend im Ruhrgebiet.

Finally made it to Lost Maples after years of planning and never making it out there. Turns out they had the best season in years. I agree.

Location: Texas

Established: September 30, 1972

Size: 86,416 acres

In West Texas, only about 40 miles southwest of Carlsbad Caverns, lies a gem of a park that few people outside the state have ever heard of, let alone visited. Guadalupe Mountains National Park contains the southernmost, highest part of the 40-mile-long Guadalupe range. From the highway, the mountains resemble a nearly monolithic wall through the desert. But drive into one of the park entrances, take even a short stroll, and surprises crop up: dramatically contoured canyons, shady glades surrounded by desert scrub, a profusion of wildlife and birds.

Some 80 miles of trails can lead the more energetic hiker to Guadalupe Peak, the highest point in Texas (8,749 feet), and to mountaintops with scattered but thick conifer forests typical of the Rockies hundreds of miles to the north. The range's origins may be surprising too: The Guadalupe Mountains were once a reef growing beneath the waters of an ancient inland sea. That same vanished sea spawned the honeycomb of the Carlsbad Caverns.

One of the most captivating exhibits at D23 Expo. Gooooo Polar Bears!

A world-weary looking Tommy Lee Jones silently adds his authoritative endorsement to this ad for Suntory's line of canned coffees, served piping hot from curbside vending machines, all over Japan. As in the hilarious Bill Murray film, "Lost in Translation", it seems funny that Japanese corporations like to use the deeply etched faces of grumpy looking tough-guy American movie stars to bolster their advertising campaigns for a diverse variety of consumer products.

This is where The Others lived from LOST. It's actually a YMCA camp on the north shore of Oahu.

Lost Colony play, 1939. From the Department of Conservation and Development, Travel Information Division Photograph Collection, State Archives of North Carolina.

At first I thought the young osprey had simply lost its balance and had fallen forward on to its head. After seeing and capturing this behavior several times, I realized it was not accidental but was, in fact, intentional. The young bird was aiming its behind high and away (down-wind of course) to eject its poop over the edge of the nest. Notice how clean the nest is; no piles of poop anywhere.
