In Lost Valley...

The waterfall here is the end of a small cave, or a natural bridge, in which the waters of Clark Creek flow out of. In dryer months you can climb up and explore the small cave. There are a few small cave formations growing in there.

Lost Valley is located in the scenic Boxley Valley of the Buffalo National River, in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas.

Kodak Max disposable camera

35mm film

I really like this photo because it shows me and my family, exhausted and lost in the happiest place on Earth. I think it's just an ironic photo. For a disposable camera, it has great coloring.

well someone lost their flip flop at manzanita

Estrada perdida na Chapada dos Veadeiros, GO.

His eyes are quickened so with grief,

He can watch a grass or leaf

Every instant grow; he can

Clearly through a flint wall see,

Or watch the startled spirit flee

From the throat of a dead man.

Across two counties he can hear

And catch your words before you speak.

The woodlouse or the maggot’s weak

Clamour rings in his sad ear;

And noise so slight it would surpass

Credence—drinking sound of grass,

Worm talk, clashing jaws of moth

Chumbling holes in cloth:

The groan of ants who undertake

Gigantic loads for honour’s sake

Their sinews creak, their breath comes thin:

Whir of spiders when they spin,

And minute whispering, mumbling, sighs

Of idle grubs and flies.

This man is quickened so with grief,

He wanders god-like or like thief

Inside and out, below, above,

Without relief seeking lost love.

Lost Property. Random, small, but interesting items that might be left on a bus, forgotten on a train, abandoned on a park bench or picked-up in the street and left on a wall in hope of the owners return.

Courtyard of a closed and abandoned motel on old Route 66 in western Albuquerque.

Spent the whole weekend trying to find this lost dog's home. I found her chasing cars and feared she might get hit.

So, I took her home, spent a sleepless night listening to her bark, and wondering how angry my own two dogs were at me for disrupting their perfectly good lives by bringing this young, full-of-energy, bundle of trouble.

I was putting out "Lost Dog" fliers this morning when I got the call from the owners. Her real name is Daisy, she's a Great Dane-Pitbull mix. (My name for her would have been Nicki (for St. Nick) - since I found her so close to Christmas).

Now, that she's in her own home, I'm off try to make up with my own two dogs by taking them to dog park.

I ran into this Vermilion Flycatcher again. This time I had better light and bg. I must admit I am puzzled why this bird is so far north with winter approaching. Can anyone shed light on this? Two shots below.

Lost Sligo Bridge on U.S. Hwy 70 over Center Hill Lake in DeKalb County, Tennessee. The historic bridge was built in 1948 by the Bethlehem Steel Company to accommodate the reservoir formed by construction of the Center Hill Dam. It was a five-span Parker through truss and was replaced by a new bridge in 2015.

The original Stutz Black Hawk Special was destroyed in 1928 when Frank Lockhart was attempting to break a land speed record at Ormond Beach, Florida. He lost control and crashed when a tire blew out.
