The older brother (presumably) carried his younger brother up to our 4WD when we stopped at the Everest Base Camp Checkpoint. The older boy was very reticent, while the younger one was incessacent on money.
Oh, and by the way, the older boy looks a tad like Josh Harnett, don't you think?

I got a certain sense of longing from these three, Maureen, Dave and Rex, well that's what I've named them. I love the expressions on their faces. Dave is imagining sitting back in his chair reading the papers whilst Maureen cooks Sunday lunch. Maureen for her part, is daydreaming about how different her life could have been had she not gotten pregnant when she was 18 and settled down with Dave. Rex is thinking "woof!, I'd catch those fucking seagulls if only this oaf would just put me down on the ground".
A performance of "(Be)longing," Created by the award-winning team of Byron Au Yong and Aaron Jafferis, "(Be)longing" is a powerful performance event reflecting our society’s collective emergence from large-scale tragedies. Locally cast singers, beatboxers, and hip-hop artists present an original, staged oratorio about belonging, isolation, healing, and community. Prompted by our collective understanding and judgments around the Virginia Tech and Newtown tragedies, (Be)longing reflects on the impact of violence and considers deeper ways to connect and build communities of safety and support. At the International Festival of Arts and Ideas in New Haven, Conn., on Sun., June 18, 2017.
All this is, is a man walking up and down this street looking in the restaurant., But perhaps he looking at what his life was and who he lived it with and thinking of a life of time gone by...

no girl dont cry
just rest your head and go to bed
your time will come to fly away"

Spencer is sitting in the window watching large hunks of ice fall off of the roof line onto the porch roof.
As you can see, the Christmas wreaths are still hanging on the windows outside. I am always critical of people who do not take their house decorations down after the holidays, however at this point they might have to stay up until Easter! Dragging a big ladder up onto the porch roof in order to reach the third floor roof line isn't a safe job to attempt in this snow and ice!
In the past couple of weeks my pot of "Hen & Chicks" has really taken off. Look at all the new growth!!!
This is a monument I have always loved ... it's in the historic cemetary where many famous gold miners and politicians of the 1800s are buried.
Time does fly ...

I guess we all associate different meaning and interpretations to things, this picture was taken on the day my best freind and house mate was moving out of her room. So after pulling down most stuff the room looked empty, the room was a living memory happy days, tears, and much much more. 2 girls who had lived together and grown into adult life together are no longer going to live together.. It marked an end of an era .. we all would be soon moving away to different stages in our lives. Emptiness cos ...I felt a suddent pang of emptiness at least for that one moment..... a mix of nostalgia and a feeling that things might never be quite the same again and thats when i wrote down those lines ....makes sense?
