Sehnsucht nach dem Frühling

O, wie ist es kalt geworden

Und so traurig, öd' und leer!

Raue Winde weh'n von Norden

Und die Sonne scheint nicht mehr.

Auf die Berge möcht' ich fliegen,

Möchte seh'n ein grünes Tal,

Möcht' in Gras und Blumen liegen

Und mich freu'n am Sonnenstrahl;

Möchte hören die Schalmeien 1)

Und der Herden Glockenklang,

Möchte freuen mich im Freien

An der Vögel süßem Sang.

Schöner Frühling, komm doch wieder,

Lieber Frühling, komm doch bald,

Bring' uns Blumen, Laub und Lieder,

Schmücke wieder Feld und Wald!

Ja, du bist uns treu geblieben,

Kommst nun bald in Pracht und Glanz,

Bringst nun bald all deinen Lieben

Sang und Freude, Spiel und Tanz.

... wrapped in silent elegance

beautifully broken down

as illusions burst

too late to learn from experience

too late to wonder how

to finish first

take me somewhere we can be alone

make me somewhere I can call a home

'cause lately I've been losing on my own

won't you take me home? ...

Enjoying a quiet moment with my love. There is no better feeling than having her in my arms.

This picture was taken on the beautiful beach at Shattered.

Here is Ivy's shot.

Spring comes early to the Sonoran desert but we have to get through January and this present cold spell first.

Many thanks to everyone that views and comments on my images it's very much appreciated.

Perhaps it is true that any past time was better.

In my photography classes I always say that we cannot photograph far from our state of mind. What do you think about it?

Visit Longing Melody

"The heart of autumn must have broken here, and poured its treasure upon the leaves"

-Charlotte Bates

Remember that person you used to be? Back before all this started, might've been a week, might've been a month, might've been a year or two, but remember when times were good and you didn't even notice how good they actually were? Remember when little things would irk you like traffic and people's moods? Remember when you actually had somewhere to go in that car of yours, and people to see? Remember when the world had use for you beyond being stuck behind these bars?

What if I told you the door to your cage was never locked? What if I told you all you had to do to get out of it, is go? Nothing and nobody can defeat us the same way we can defeat ourselves, and a strong mind can will itself out of any situation if you just refuse to give up. There's a sad reality that not everybody makes it back to where they fell from, not everybody deserved to be where they were, and in some cases luck just lines up in the wrong direction. But it comes down to you to accept that and move on, or keep trying, keep fighting, and keep longing instead of settling.

Handle things right, and losing it all could be the best thing that ever happened to you, because it could be the start of something better.

Broke this tulip off while weeding, unfortunately it did not survive my cats.

Here we see a Gannet-Mom with her chick, photographed in Summer 2019. Would be so wonderful if it could be possible to visit my favourite sea birds again in the coming year...
