Fortunately, the title does not describe the actual situation, I just thought it would fit the image. These Japanese macaque monkeys are wild and can leave whenever they want. The ones behind the fence are actually the people, because the monkeys can get a bit aggressive when food is handed out. This way, even the kids can get close up and feed them.
one day i'll be able to go out to the sea and experience the wonders too. one day...
as soon as we left the airport, liz and her driver took us to this beach. a lot of kids and fishermen hanging out there.. truly refreshing to be on the beach. got me realize for the first time since i had left korea - I'm on vacation! :)

He had just smiled at her as she looked at him. He didn't stay to answer her, only stepped close to her and touched her cheek before disappearing again.
She tried to chase him out of the temple. She stood there in the garden, wondering where he could have gone. She felt like there was something stuck in the far reaches of her mind. Something that would not let her remember who he was.
She stayed in the garden for the remainder of the day, waiting for him to return to her. She wanted to remember but nothing was working. She just couldn't figure out who he was, or how she knew him.

We celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied and multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.

It's been two years since we had a serious snow fall. I can't believe I am looking forward to the first snow this winter this late in Chicago!
Oh, these gray days are getting long. And even with the bright lights of Christmas, and the gatherings of family and friends, I think of Spring. May the new year bring a spectacular, bountiful Spring to everyone !

A major installation by Ik-Joong Kang, one of South Korea’s most renowned and celebrated multimedia artists, Floating Dreams is a compelling, large-scale installation situated in the centre of the River Thames by Millennium Bridge. Constructed from 500 drawings and illuminated from within, the three-storey-high lantern structure acts as a memorial to the millions displaced and divided during the Korean War (1950-53), and a poignant symbol of hope for the reunification of North and South Korea.
Born in South Korea, Ik-Joong Kang relocated to New York in 1984 to complete a Masters in Fine Arts at the Pratt Art Institute. For Floating Dreams, the artist returned home to collect drawings by the generation that fled from North Korea to South Korea during the conflict over 66 years ago. Now in their 80's and 90's and unable to return, Kang asked them to revisit their memories and draw their hometowns. 500 images, recalling joyful and sorrowful memories of lost homes and broken families, have been transferred onto pieces of Hanji, a traditional Korean rice paper, and transformed by the artist into a single work of art that illuminates the pain and hope of many Koreans displaced by the Korean War. Floating Dreams recognises and raises awareness of the participants’ longing for home and their faith in a future reunification for their country.
