There is a longing deep inside me.
Pulling my heart apart.
No one to hug.
No one to Love.
No one to share my pain with.
I want to prove it wrong.
One day I shall find my soul mate.
Then I'll prove my heart wrong!

She feels like a prisoner, buried under her worries. She looks out of the window wondering if she'll ever be able to escape this monotonous existence ..And as the world passes by,she can only hope that someday she too will be free.

Brooke encouraged us all to think of a story behind every picture. I am going to try, but i am not sure i'll be able to do it for every single picture.

Longing for a brilliant sunset when I was there shooting Kirkjufell in Iceland, I got to this classic spot about 2.5 hours before sunset, and this turned out to be the right decision because the cloud completely covered the west side of the sky, and the only light I got was in a 5-min window right after I got there.

A feeling of sadness and longing that is not akin to pain, and resembles sorrow only as the mist resembles the rain.

When we stayed at the farmhouse in the Lake District last December, a couple of these little fellows were flying around inside. It was so frustrating, too cold to put them outside...but their desire to be there was obvious. I thought about how all of us sometimes long for things, but the time may not be right.
Banner Peak from the John Muir Trail. Man, am I ready for summer. The high country is still blanketed in monochromatic white.
When I visited Varanasi for the first time (2011) had a chance to visit a place (kind of an open Hall of 300 Sqfts.) near (most known for being a place of Hindu cremation) where group of Old age women are longing for their holy death and get burnt in Manikarnika Ghat, That time didn't have a right chance to click. This time we saw very few people in the Hall and this lady was sitting in the entrance of the building.
