Being in places as beautiful as this makes me long even more for the return of Christ and to be with Him in all of His glory. Nothing on this Earth can even compare to what we will see and experience in eternity with Him! Places like Lake Louise can give you a glimpse of how beautiful it will be, but know this the beauty of His glory that will be revealed to us will far exceed what we could ever imagine or comprehend!

When I was processing the picture I was listening to the song below (Suzanne). I knew this song from Leonard Cohen. I was impressed by the cover version of Nina Simone, a lot of feeling in it, too.
....for the next time I can travel to awesome locations like Pen Y fan and soak up the atmosphere.
This was from a beautiful sunrise hike back in September.
Such evening moods are of great importance for many. Here you can quickly forget your everyday worries. That at the moment, this sight, or something similar, is denied to many, although here really enough distance to the people can be kept, that is not good to understand. Perhaps I can bring joy to some with this snapshot, or at least refresh old memories.
Solche Abendstimmungen sind für viele von grosser Bedeutung. Hier kann man die Alltagssorgen schnell mal vergessen. Das im Moment, dieser Anblick, oder ähnlicher, vielen verwehrt bleibt, obwohl hier wirklich genug Abstand zum Menschen eingehalten werden kann, dass ist nicht gut zu verstehen. Vielleicht kann ich mit dieser Momentaufnahme einigen eine Freude machen, oder wenigstens alte Erinnerungen auffrischen.
O how I long to be with Jesus! These beautiful moments are tender glimpses of His love and mercy and it makes me want to be with Him more and more! As I look around at the state of our nation in turmoil and our world in violence as nation turns against nation and family against family, my heart aches all the more for His return when He will make every wrong right and wipe away every tear from our eyes and we will be in the perfect presence of the Son!

Went out yesterday in search of autumn colors, and they are just beginning to emerge. Will probably be another week or so before they actually peak, so to satisfy my longing for autumn colors, I went searching through the archives and found this one from a foggy morning two years ago :-) Gotta love those maples!!!!
