Digital. Needed another quick page for another busy day today. I've had this idea in my head for a long time. So I finally got it down on "paper." It is a 6x6 layout for my personal scrap-journal.

Clearly, the cattle loading ramp at this barn North of Elora, Ontario, had not bee in use for quite some time. My eye was caught by the larger colour areas (blue, gray, green) and the punctuation provided by the yellows of the flowers on the bench as well as the toys below the ramp.
Taken using a Panasonic FZ30, minimal PP in GIMP (minor curves adjust and crop of the top).

ok, one more for the Your Inner Fifth Grader group. i saw this during my drive to Oregon last week and for some reason it just made me laugh! although i think E got tired of me pointing out the signs every time we'd pass one of these trucks... "look hun! it's another Loooooong Load!!"

This is a chart of my hour-by-hour usage of electricity for the first full day that my photovoltaic cells (solar power system) was operational. Note that between 9 am and 5 pm, I am at work, but have lizards to keep warm and give UV to, so my energy usage then is actually higher than the 11 to 7 or so when I'm asleep. (Fridge and hot tub are constant throughout the day)

Dubai Day 8 - This was a busy day first went to see some sailing dowes and loading docks. Then nearby was the Dubai Gold Sook so went there, you couldn't walk 5 metres with out someone asking you to buy a copy watch. But went to a fabric Store and got Jules an African style hat to cheer him up! Then went to the Dubai Mall to see if we could go up the Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world!) but we would have had to wait 7 hours and pay 4 times the price of a normal ticket to go up the same day, so we didn't. But still got to see it and overall was a good day fitted lots in!
I'm sure more the once somebody left a brown bag filled with cold beer for the crew picking up the car
A new puzzle this Spring with the addition of eight large jars. Took a while to figure out how to load!

Brief: to design promo-poster for Loadingspot LLC. This company organizes data in the U.S. trucking industry. Their first project is a database of shippers and receivers.
Challenge: to attract attention of truck drivers to the online project loadingspot.com
Concept: “Care to share? Add review.” Two typical drivers are the heroes of the story. Not all the customers are easy to deal with - two common situations from drivers’ work routine are captured on the illustration. Truck drivers share their experiences via reviews at loadingspot.com - members of trucking community use these reviews to understand customers better, plan their time and even filter their customers.

Wildland firefighters from across Wyoming trained as helicopter crew members at the Duncan Ranch south of Glenrock. Students worked with the Wyoming State Helitack crew and helicopter to practice moving cargo around the rugged landscape surrounding Boxelder Creek.

Here is the second page. With this theme, after Sonic Burgers, we measured the ice on the pond (4 inches) and went skating, wanted to do this for 8 years so thanks Lain and Grechen for the push on the ice.

Noticing little things.....While eating in a restaurant in Pigeon Forge, I happened to notice our waitress's name card. PENNY PICKLE! She was so nice and very chatty. When we commented on her name she proceeded to tell us her husband's name was Bill and her son's name was Dillon! Bill and Dill Pickle! She left us take her picture but couldn't stop talking enough to smile. Just a chance meeting with a fun lady. It's the little things thay add joy to our day!
This page goes with the the layout I did of my son sitting on the grass. The thing about five by seven scrapping is that there isn't always room for the journalling!!!

This spring is the central point and largest hotspring in the district, being 65 metres in diameter and 62 metres deep. Its surface temperature is 74 degrees and bubbles are due to carbon dioxide. The rocks from which can be seen are at the top of the embankment. Minerals contained in the water are gold, silver, mercury, sulphur, arsenic, thallium and antimony and are presently depositing in the surrounding sinter ledge. The various sinter ledges have veen associated with tilting of the pool as consequence of earthquake activity.
Found this oldy and moldy in my "to be finished" bin, dusted it off, added my journalling; overall, I'm pretty happy with it.
I made the photo and the background paper 1/2 opaque, Banjo picture small one and the Love circle logo transparent to a degree. Rage Italic font
