This isn't the LO I planned on doing as my last one for this LOAD but it's what I managed to get done. I LOVE this photo of my old girl on the left, her son and his daughter (on the right) and I really liked how the other LO I did using this design turned out. I'm not quite as happy with this one as I only used one layer of PP instead of making a 'bed' of smaller squares. It's not that I don't love it - it's loved a little less than the first ;)

These large loads that were barged up the Columbia and Snake Rivers to Lewiston, Idaho with a further destination of Billings, Montana have been stopped by the courts now pending appeal. If approved there could be an additional 70 of these large loads with a destination to Alberta, Canada. These loads take up two complete lanes of highway and can be as tall as 30 feet. All very in weight but are extremely heavy. Many feel that these loads could destroy our scenic high ways and destroy our bridges. Also concerned is if there are breakdowns some of the people who live along these highways would not be able to get to hospitals or to work.

This neighbor's load was slipping, so he stopped just outside my window.

The prompt for today sent me into my digi stash to the Jessica Sprague Heritage Album class I took a while back and never finished. It also sent me into the closest to dig out this photo to scan.

It's a great class and album and maybe one of these LOADs, I'll finish it.

On the 27th September 2021 the 'Celtic Forester' (2003, 4,323DWT) is seen at Teignmouth waiting to load a cargo of ball clay for Castellon, Spain.

So begins our day of trying out this replica of an early 19th-century flintlock rifle. This is the sort of gun one would expect to find in the hands of a fur trapper circa 1812.

Part of the force’s role is to escort abnormal loads across the road and motorway networks.

Earlier this month we assisted with the movement of a bridge section.

GMP officer took over from our Cheshire colleagues and escorted the load to the Yorkshire border.

I took it in a fun, crazy way.

Journaling reads:

"maybe it's crazy...or maybe it's just some good old hillbilly ingenuity. when jon & i were at a concert, we forgot our cooler. so...we filled our sink with budlight & covered it with ice!"

I still think it needs some embellishments, but I was running out of time!
