a station wagon is a dangerous tool for one prone to collecting... so glad I had it....as I never would have known you...sticks and stones and animal bones...

US soldiers load weapons and ammo into their CCKW.

Lhoist's road train is seen spotting the loads they brought from the mine for NS to pick up before they grab ahold of the empties for the return trip. Since the arrival of the 3043, it's been rare for either of the high hoods to appear on the point of the road train, so to have both of them powering the days train is certainly a plus, especially since the 4021 is rarely seen on it dating back to its Franklin days. This would also turn out to be the first day for about a month that these engines would be the road power while the 3138 was getting radiator repairs & the 3043 would serve as the plant switcher. 10-30-20

CP G15 rolls slowly south after recrewing G16 at Brownville Junction. The entirety of the Bangor Subdivision has been recently restricted to 10 mph, which has led to daylight trains between Hermon and BVJ. Here they are passing the defunct chip loader at South Lagrange, which once unloaded woodchips for transport by truck to Old Town.

A flock of birds takes flight at the sound of the blaring horn at Middle Honcut Road Crossing, as Sixteen-Thousand tons of corn for the J.D. Heiskell elevator in Pixley, California coasts out of the foothills and through the Craig Wetlands. This train was running a mere fifteen minutes behind the previous BNSF train off the Inside Gateway, as traffic picked up again in the late afternoon after the 9608 Gangs tie replacement and curved rail maintenance window was lifted. The only downside to the opening was the equipment needed to find a home for the night, as was the case for this group of regulators, tramperers and drivers rest for the night in the siding at Craig; don't know who the stadium lights belonged to the one in the frame was the only one around... and yeah should have stayed out in the swamp at the west end for this one.

Viterra employees work to load a unit train train for movement on CP at Star Alberta. The terminal, located at the end of the Willingdon Subdivision, is the only grain loading point on the CP north of Edmonton Alberta.

Buttermere lone tree - been done loads, the most photographed tree in the Lakes i hear. What a pain to find in the dark too especially when we took the wrong track and ended heading to Crummock Water lol thankful we made it. Had 2 ol the elements needed for a good shot but sadly missed the 3rd (no Clouds) had the wind and the sun rising in the right place for the colour. I will return and do again in a couple of weeks.

Recently arrived GB&W C424 320 is on the load box at the Norwood roundhouse in Green Bay in June 1980. The engine started life as Erie Lackawanna 2412 and came to the GB&W in March 1980.

At a tiny speck on the map known as Brimson, a loaded train from Arcelor Mittal's Minorca Mine creeps towards the siding where it will meet an empty train heading for US Steel's Minntac Mine. Leading the way is the Illinois Central SD40-2 6251, the last black unit on the CN roster still sporting a white frame stripe.

Full falls view - loads of water coming over the bluff.

Yes, load- not loads. 79 must have brought up a bad order car that 52 had to spot tonight. The forest fires out west really played havoc with the setting sun.

Westbound grain loads are parked in front of the West Coast Express station in Port Coquitlam

IC 6251 is dragging a loaded train out of the Fairlane facility at Forbes, MN. Shortly, the train will enter the Missabe Subdivision and bomb South for Proctor.

I was changing the power loader and ended up making it Friends scale. I tried to keep the design close to my minifig one. I'm pretty sure Simon Liu was the first to do this combo so kudos to him :)

I see lots of birds when the tide is high at Fairhaven, Knot, Grey Plover, Curlews, Dunlin and a load more besides to far away for me to photograph but great to see. I am after shots of the Linnets and Stonechats but they are proving difficult at the moment hopefully my luck will change.

Many thanks to you ALL for the views, faves and comments you make on my shots it is very appreciated.

Straight shot without filters or effects. LED light source.

No Electrical Power....

We suddenly have a lot of load shedding this last couple of days. I have my opinions on why but won't go too much into it right now. I think I will have to write a book about corruption and mismanagement and political stuff if I want to really explain why it is as it is.

As I've been going through a bit of a reflection phase recently I just couldn't resist getting this one, from the streets of Valletta in Malta.

NS 33A rolls through Lucknow with one of CIT's Barney SD90MACs leading loads for Allentown, PA. The big purple dinosaur is on lease to Norfolk Southern and now Altoonaworks reports 15 of them are joining the dark side permanently. The SD90MACs are being traded for 15 MP15DCs; more fodder for the new SD70ACU program.

SD40u 6013 leads C40-8 2039 and sister 6017 downgrade into Two Harbors with Minorca loads.

Back when the UK still had a large coal mining industry two BR large logo liveried 56's are seen at York North Yard. Recently arrived Gateshead 56 128 with another load of power station coal from the Co.Durham coalfield is about to hand over to Sheffield Tinsley allocated 56 103 for the remainder of the journey to one of the Aire Valley power stations in Yorkshire.
