Turbines under the Stars 24
As occasionally happens, I was torn on which I preferred, the mono or the color version of the image I produced. So, I'm sharing both.

To be fair, I think it is a nice view and there is something fascinating about glowing cityscapes at night. But sometimes I really wonder what intelligent extraterrestrial lifeforms would think of us if they were to judge the human species, and how much we have been changing this planet for (mainly) our own good. Damn.. I mean, think about how we would react if suddenly crabs or geese took up as much space as we do!

While exploring some new functions of my new OM-1, I wanted to see how the Live Composite worked with traffic. This shot is in some ways a failure because it was underexposed as I misunderstood some live comp settings, but bringing the exposure up as much as I did really pleased me with how much latitude I had to work with in the OM-1 files!
This is about two minutes worth of exposure, and a decent amount of traffic!

Looking north, the rotation of the earth with the stars. The glow at the bottom is a receding Aurora Borealis, and the shadow is mine, in the distance. It was a great night at Little Sable Point, Michigan.
