In a fit of boredom, I decided to have a play with different tools in Photoshop. The result you see before you came about very much by trial and error but it's one I'm quite pleased with... the trick now is to remember what I did!
For the background, I took a photo at the Hay Street Flower Farm of colorful Dahlia's @ www.haystreetflowerfarm.com which I liquified in PS and blended it with the Daisy photo I took at Calareso Farm Stand @ calaresosfarmstand.com/
No ideas for this subject, so in the end - and very late - here is an artificial breeze in the trees (done with the liquefy tool)!
spiral... This one I took back into PS and srengtened the color of the blue shade a tad , and used liquify filter to adjust just the center of the wave and cloned some foam onto the tip of it.
So it turns out that I still have enough LEGO left to tinker with, mostly dark grey and brown, from picking over the bones of several old models.
i saw the star trek movie tonight and it was beyond great. it was awesome sauce. so i knew i had no choice but to run on home and channel my inner vulcan.... i am, after all, half-human, half-elf... so i kind of relate to spock and his identity crises, etc. we're tight. we go way back... spock and spockette, and our dog sprocket. mm... those were the days... going where no finch had gone before...
for GTWL: quirks! ... i'm a geek.

Four C4's leads a short 222 of stacks and pigs northbound through the Search Lights that are on borrowed time.
Delightfully simple shot: one speedlite shooting through the subject to camera, black background board and polished surface to garner the reflection, couple of test shots for exposure and away we go. slipped into the liquify tool for a tiny slide and here we are, done!

Messager sagittaire - Secretary Bird
Secretary Bird
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Secretary Bird, Sagittarius serpentarius, is an extraordinary bird of prey. A recent hypothesis is that its name is a French corruption of the Arabic saqr-et-tair or "hunter-bird."
Endemic to Africa, this mostly terrestrial bird is usually found in the open grasslands and savannas of the sub-Sahara. The Secretary Bird enjoys a certain fame in Africa, specifically Sudan and South Africa, where it serves as a prominent Emblem on both countries' Coat of Arms.
General Appearance
The Secretary Bird is instantly recognizable as having an eagle-like body on crane-like legs which increases the bird’s height to around 1.3 m (four feet) tall. This 140 cm long bird has an eagle-like head with a hooked bill, but has rounded wings. From a distance or in flight it resembles a crane more than a bird of prey. Serpentarius reflects the fact that this is a specialist predator of snakes.
Habitat
Secretary Birds are endemic to sub-Saharan Africa and are non-migratory (although they may follow food sources). Secretary Birds prefer open grasslands and savannahs rather than forests and dense shrubbery which may impede their cursorial existence. While the birds roost on the local Acacia trees at night, they spend much of the day on the ground, returning to roosting sites just before dark.
Diet
Prey consists of insects, small mammals, lizards, snakes, young birds, bird eggs, and sometimes dead animals killed in brush fires. Young are fed liquified and regurgitated insects directly by the male or female parent.
They can either catch prey by chasing it and striking with the bill or stomping on prey until it is rendered stunned or unconscious enough to swallow.
Rearing of Young
Secretary birds lay two to three oval, pale-green eggs over the course of two to three days, although the third egg is most often unfertilized.
I hope you like this selfie. ;)
Happy Halloween!
This is a 4 photo composite. The dummy (me? -- or so the helmet reveals) and house are my photos, both taken in Maynooth. The house was purple, so I changed the colour to suit the theme and distorted it using the liquify filter in Photoshop. The black cat and ghost were found by doing image searches.

The Assassin Bug is truly a scary insect. They have a curved beak or fang as it is known by, to stab their prey repeatedly and then inject them with a fast acting toxin that liquifies all the internal organs. Using that same fang like a straw, it sucks it's prey's insides out like a McDonalds milkshake.

I mean, it's perfecto.
Usually, I have to liquify it to make her head fit. 'Cause you know, she has a baby head.
but i geuss Vanessa also has a baby head.
I realize this is abuse of image processing software, but what-the-heck... It started as a blurry ICM shot of a speeding freight train. I boosted color and contrast then transformed the shape with the liquify tool in Photoshop Elements. I hope it works for Sliders Sunday.
The final installment of the Audrey Hepburn look. I added the shopping bags, and did a lot of "liquify" touching up to the body to get rid of jagged edges. Used the Diffuse Glow filter and adjusted some levels. This series has been great for me, a wonderful learning experience. I find myself much more confident and inspired since doing these pictures.
As mankind pushed out from low earth orbit and small bases began to crop up on the Lunar surface, it was necessary to transport large quantities of cargo between the Earth and Moon. Seen here is one example of a space tug based on proven technologies, with crew return vehicle docked. The tugs were launched in pieces and assembled in orbit. Fuel consisted of liquified Hydrogen and O2, and were refueled in Lunar orbit.

Train 121 scoots south across the Fort Lauderdale lift bridge and is quickly nearing its destination of Hialeah Yard in between the morning Bright Line trains. I have a shot that was about 40' further ahead but it had two large shadows from a couple construction cranes that are building a new high rise behind me, I went through the process of editing them out and it looked real good as I don't ever play much with photoshop but instead of using the photo I went with this one as I couldn't convince myself to post the heavily altered photo as I try to post as close to out of the camera photos as I can minus some leveling and stuff like that. I guess I need to make another trip down for this one shot... oh darn back to Florida in a couple years.
Ughh. When I'm in a hurry my descriptions are bad. I was in a hurry to write something, and it ended up as if I was some high strung lady doing nothing but exclaiming things lol.
Anyways so I'm rewriting the descriptions. And oh my gosh...I hear fire works right now. There's some big event going on that I forgot all about! And there are fireworks...ughh I never got to use my DSLR on fireworks yet :(
Anyways, I couldn't decide what to edit and upload out of the whole bunch from the shoot. So that's why I called this "indecisive" yes....kinda dumb lol.
Anyways, I did such a crappy job with the liquify tool. My friend requested that I make her "thinner" so I did...but I'm not too good at it. I have barely used the liquify tool in my life! And now well, I kinda did a crappy job but oh wellll.
Anyways!
