Viewed from slight underneath angle. Analucia windlight and given toon effect before vibrance, levels and liquify tweaked in photoshop and texture, clarity, color and dehaze tweeked in lightroom then cropped to square.

One beautiful flower taken in Omaha Nebraska. I felt like the whole world could be contained in one flower. I used the petals of the flower to accomplish my cosmic vision. I also played with liquify.

Comments or critiques welcome.

In 2005 the Volzhanin holding presented an experimental 12-meter bus model "CityRhythm-12" («СитиРитм-12»), fully low-floor. The model was produced from 2007 to 2012. After restyling and modifications (steel body instead of aluminium etc.) the model was produced as Volgabus-5270 "CityRitm 12 DLF" and then CityRitm 12 GLF, in modifications Volgabus-5270.02, G0, G2 that were equipped with Chinese Yuchai YC6L30 or European MAN E0836 engines.

In 2021 started production of the new modification Volgabus-5270.G4 (CityRitm 12 GLF) with Weichai WP7NG290E51 engine. No less than 773 buses, of which 299 - on compressed and 474 - on liquefied gas are produced, which operate in St. Petersburg and many other cities in Russia.

buses under the Volgabus brand are manufactured by the investment and production holding Bakulin Motors Group (at 2008-2014 -Volgabus). The first plant of the company was founded in 1993 by Anatoly Bakulin, who at that time worked as the head of the motor-colon № 1732 in the city of Volzhsky, Volgograd (Stalingrad) region. The main production site is still located there (the number of employees - more than 600; current production capacity - 1000 units per year). The first five years of work the plant assembled buses from vehicle sets of Likino Bus Plant (LiAZ). In 1999 started batch production of buses under the trademark Volzhanin (from Volga river area; Волжанин). Since 2006 a line of low-floor city buses under the brand name CityRhythm has been produced. In 2008 the Volgabus group of companies was founded, uniting into one holding the production, scientific and investment divisions. Product brand name was also changed to "Volgabus". In 2014, after reorganization and rebranding, the holding was named after the founder - Bakulin Motors Group (Bakulin Motors Group, BMG, BMG). In 2017, the company opened another production complex to assemble buses in the Vladimir region.

Self-portrait in Pittsburg hotel room with a little help from Photoshop's liquify tool to shape my head

Always drama to be found in my yard. This time it was an assassin bug nymph making a meal of a fly. The nymph has inserted its feeding tube into the anal opening of the fly, injected venom that liquifies the insides of the fly so that the nymph can suck it out while the fly is paralyzed.

This image was made at the same time as the earlier image with rose buds. But colors of the flower picked up by water droplets on the window pane add an atmosphere to the image. It appears as if the flower is dissolving in water. More like liquify effect in photoshop - but shot in camera. The only image corrections are correcting white balance, opening up of shadows Rest everything as seen!

3 more days until Halloween!

25 frames, first studio stack, fill in flash. Proboscis extended. Thats the murder weapon: normally its hidden under all the "whiskers". After pray is caught in mid air, its stabbed with the proboscis, neurotoxin and digestive enzyme injected, and after landing a liquified pray is sucked in as a delicious bug shake!

Jubilee Tower, Darwen Lancs

I thought this was a nice angle with Orion. I lit the tower with my speedlight. The stars of Orion made more pronounced using Liquify in CS3.

Comet Lovejoy is just about visible to far right.

Samyang 14mm.

Model and Photographer - me. Still need to be better on liquify - working on it.

Jessi-style!

I figured out how to use the Liquify feature in PSE.

Thinking about a few things on my wish list that I have to wait to get...

Mississippi Export Railroad Southbound Freight Train 51 passes through Big Point, MS. where they will drop some Liquified Petroleum Gas that will eventually go to Chevron on CSXT in Pascagoula, MS. The 51 job continued on south to Pascagoula, MS. light engines to pick up a rock train & head back north to Evanston, MS. where they will interchange the rock to CN. The MSE job 51 started out with 2 GP38-2’s on this day & stopped in Hurley, MS. to add a 3rd GP38-2 for the rock train tonnage back north.

The course of these geologic features is in dispute. Various theories suggest a liquified origin, such as a geyser, and other geologists believe they were formed by seismic activity. The photo is of the largest of these formations in the park.

I found this cute little brown jumping spider in our hallway today. It was not very active, so I thought that it may be molting or dying. I gently placed it in a glass container to rest, then later onto a sheet of white paper. On the first go round of 1-4x magnification, I noticed that its tiny abdomen looked a bit shriveled. It occurred to me that it may be dehydrated, so I saturated a piece of wet tissue paper with water and sure enough the "spidey" immediately crawled onto the wet paper and remained there sucking up the water, much like we would suck through a straw. Yes, spiders drink water, as needed, normally from rain puddles or dew. If spiders are kept as "pets" a small water dish can be placed in the habitat. The mouthparts are located in back of the chelicera (the fangs that inject venom into their prey). Spiders normally get the fluids they need from the liquified bodies of their prey, and it has recently been discovered that some species of spiders will "drink" nectar.

After, I gave the spider the water, it became more active, though I was still able to work with it to get another set of photos before releasing it onto one of our houseplants. This spider was 6mm in length and 2mm in width.

Two Genesee-Wyoming painted SD40-2's take charge of a dozen 35,500 gallon LPG tankcars at Nanticoke on the former CN Hagersville Subdivision, at Concession 3 crossing. In late 2018 into early 2019, both GEXR and SOR did not renew their contracts for lease, and a considerable chunk of mileage on both roads was reacquired by CN. This consisted of Georgetown at Silver to Stratford on the GEXR, and both Brantford to Garnet, and Hamilton's Industrial trackage out of Stuart Street Yard on the SOR. The train pictured is on the section of rail still operated by SOR between the yard at Garnet and Nanticoke port trackage.

Hope you like it; this was way out of my editing norm. I have been trying to play with liquify. I like how this turned out.

I really wanted a chaotic image with space being sucked into where I was touching. THe inspiration for the objects was from Alice in wonderland; when she is flying down the rabit whole. All of the random objects zooming by. I hope I captured that. My silouette could've been better, but the pic itself was bad to start with, sorry :/

Hope your day is inspirational and unforgetable, and maybe you'll have some random objects fly by you!

I photographed Christmas lights reflecting on water in the harbor, then post processed for this effect.

Sometimes things just need to be beautiful :)

Inspired by a collection of wallpapers on kwerfeldein.de I tried to recreate the water as flame effect used in one of the pictures. I took several shots of water and used the liquify and free transform tools to bend the water into the shape of a flame. Afterwards I made a composite image of both elements in Photoshop and used several correction layers to create the final version.

Strobist info: One 430EX on full power was fired through a white plexiglass sheet on the camera left. It was triggered by a 580EX II on the camera that pointed toward a white reflector on the camera right.

Playing with a new texture LiquidGreen1 and added a few more. There's something "abstracted" and something that reminds me of William Morris wallpaper about this image. Strange what you come up with when you "Go With The Flow" !

A group of supervillains that Pyrite brings together after they all consistently lose to Heavyweight on separate occasions.

Alias: White Wraith

Real Name: Blanc Slate

Gender: Male

Allegiance: Villain

Backstory: His story was nothing noteworthy. Honestly, he was just a regular person, going about his daily life. That is of course, until a near death accident changed everything. How bland and boring, I know. He was comatose for a month, before he would wake up. Upon waking up, he was confused of the people around him. They were family, but he didn't know who these people were. He would lash out, saying that they are trying to trap him there at the hospital. His ghostly powers manifested themselves during this time. as his breakdown would cause him to telekinetically throw one of the visitors into the wall, while he himself floated up and out of his bed. Not knowing anything about himself, he searched for answers. But all he saw was fear in people's eyes. He would learn the reason why, when he looked at himself through a storefront's window. A white wraith of sorts, with yellow eyes. After calming down, he would revert back to his regular appearance. Not knowing where to go, he would sit on the streets of the Halford district, trying to use his powers to make some money. In his first outing as the villainous White Wraith, he would come into conflict with the hero Night Angel. Having similar appearances, Wraith thought he would find a kindred spirit in the hero, but Night Angel wasn't interested in talking, as Wraith had broken the law by stealing. This act would not go unnoticed though, as Mayhem was looking to recruit more for their cause. He would be broken out of prison by Thrill Kill, and Buzzsaw, two grunts of the organization. Thankful for not being locked up anymore, he decided to join them, though even he's not sure how long he'll stay. Needing a name, Crepuscule suggested Blanc Slate. He liked the sound of it, and would get a job as a receptionist at Victoria's PI office. His hatred towards Night Angel grows with each day.

Real Name: Xion

Gender: Male

Alignment: Villain

Backstory: Xion grew up on a farm, where he would be worked to the bone at unruly hours of the day. His complaints fall on deaf ears, as his parents wanted him to learn how to run the farm, so that eventually, he can take over the family business. It was discovered, that the crops grown there, had traces of radiation. His parents denied it, but it was only a matter of time, before CCBN junior reporter Asher Adams wrote an expose on the farm. Xion's parents would be sent to prison, and he would be sent to a monastery, due to his violent tendencies. For many years, Xion was isolated from the world, living with the other monks. While he was frustrated at how his parents treated him, they were still family. In time, he would realize they only wanted him to succeed. Most of his anger was targeted at Asher for putting them behind bars. During his time at the monastery, he would find a mystical hat in the old archives room. The rims of the hat, with razor blades (Think Kung Lao from Mortal Kombat). Upon trying it on, he had the urge to throw it. In doing so, he knocked a random vase off the shelf with such precision, and it came back to him. This relic is able to teleport back to him whenever he wants. In addition to this, when he holds it, becomes a shield, strong enough to stop bullets. One of the others tried stopping him from taking it, but seeing himself as the rightful owner of the hat, Xion killed the monk. He would leave the monastery in that moment, knowing they would come for him. Traveling back to Cardinal City, he seeks to take everything away from Asher Adams, and then, only then, will he kill him. In combat, he primarily uses his hat.

Alias: Pyrite

Real Name: Holden Ridgewood

Gender: Male

Alignment: Villain

Powers: Having a unique physiology thanks to the experiment that gave him his powers, Holden is able to change into different shapes, both solid and liquid. As a metallic polymorph, he can reshape his limbs into various weapons, and anything else he so desires. Because of this power, he's also able to cling onto the sides of buildings quite easily. Since he's not exactly human anymore, he doesn't require food, water, or oxygen to survive. Even though it's not necessary for his survival, he does it anyway, as some foods are just too tasty to give up! He's very hard to damage due to his body being now made up of metal. Also has an immunity to biological attacks.

Weaknesses: Fire, or Electricity

Backstory: Holden's brother would be sentenced to death as capital punishment, for a crime he truly didn't commit. Since Holden pretty much idolized his brother, he knew this wasn't right. It was the system's fault. A corrupt justice system, that only lives to serve the wealthy elite. As Holden Ridgewood, he gets texts and emails, everyday, blaming him. Saying how he should've seen it coming, and that there's something he could've done to prevent this tragedy. It was at this point, he would go, seeking power to make everything right. He no longer viewed the heroes in the city in a positive light, as they let an innocent man be killed, as well as protecting the corrupt from harm. He would undergo experimentation, which would change him, into something more than human. As Pyrite, he seeks to bring an end to the system that got his brother killed

Alias: Antimony

Gender: Female

Allegiance: Villain

Backstory: The villain's real name is not known, as taking off Antimony's "costume" would result in her death. No one even knows for sure if Antimony is actually female, just presumed because Antimony's voice sounds very feminine, along with the way she acts. Antimony just loves to watch chaos ensue in Cardinal City. There's no real rhyme or reason to the people she kills, just mostly for her own amusement. While she is resistant to heat, she doesn't have full out durability, so if you hit her hard enough, she will go down. Antimony is able to do various things with metals. One is the ability to liquify said metal, and another is to make said metal ductile, allowing for cables to be formed, which she uses often, to ensnare her opponents. Finally, Antimony can change liquids into various metals.

The fly was still alive and kicking trying to free from the predator's fangs when this photo was taken. Special saliva is then used to liquify the victim's body tissue, which is then sucked out, leaving an empty shell that the spider discards.

Happy Halloween everybody!

Reposted this from last year :-)

A local construction had this set up in front of their office here in Halifax.

I thought it was pretty neat.

Have a great weekend as well!

Take care...

Dave

My husband sooooo wanted my to liquify pointy ears on this girl, she already looks very elfin!

Taken at the JinkyArt workshop in May.

Santa Fe 1200 was one of just two experimental units leased from Morrison Knudsen. The unique units ran off liquified natural gas and were nicknamed the "bombs" by crews. They worked at Santa Fe Hobart yard in Los Angeles where they were posing on a rainy night

Big Mack hauls liquified natural gas.

Week 9: Shadows. Last few days in Hawaii, what else would I choose but a palm tree!! This was taken with my iphone with the shadow on a parking lot. Played around a lot with photoshop, trying lots of different filters - in the end chose 'liquify' to give the palms a more windswept, painterly look and the ground to look like the beach. CC always welcome. — at Waikoloa Beach, Hawaii.

This one was done slightly better i think, his eyes actually match haha.

Might make this into a series!

Flickr has made the sharpening go abit noisy but can't be arsed to fix it.

This is my brother btw :D

And i did this mainly through the Liquify took in photoshop! really hard to use though :(

Of course, I have time for such sublime philosophical epiphanies only during extremely unproductive holidays!

Part of the strobist series (3/10)

Info: One YN 467 to my left at 1/2 power. One Canon 430 ex ii at 45deg CCW & pointed upward (for the shadow) , fired at 1/16th power. Blended with texture and applied liquify filter to the shadow.
