still life hdr experiments

This is a shot that I grabbed on a moment’s notice. And I got just this one image and it was a bit wiped out by direct sunlight. I used PhotoToaster’s large array of filters to get the effects I wanted, after using their tools to tweak the image.

With only 13 minutes left to capture the picture of the day, its a frantic rush for the camera, a quick shot of the ceiling lights, leaving just momements to sprare before the new day begins.....

Not great weather and so I had an hour later in the day seeing what was happening in the garden. This Blue Tit may be one of a nesting pair

One of the delights of early morning at the Vatican is the (relative) absence of tourists. So we had some very unusual views - no (or almost no) people. Just light and shade at St Peter's.

I just love the lampshades in Fruccola cafe on Kristof ter in Budapest. This is my favourite.
