Bellis perennis is a common European species of daisy, of the family Asteraceae, often considered the archetypal species of that name. Many related plants also share the name "daisy", so to distinguish this species from other daisies it is sometimes qualified as common daisy, lawn daisy or English daisy.
The Antinori Chianti Classico Winery is just south of the village of Bargino, off the SR2 between Florence and Siena, was completed 4 years ago and took 8 years to build.
This image is of the car park. Stunning space & striking architecture. Superb subject for a light & shade image. Hope you agree.
The fragrant water lily is an aquatic plant that is most easily recognized by its eye-catching, open bloom and uniquely-shaped leaves. It is a radially symmetrical flower displaying either white or pink petals. The flower looms above flat, heart-shaped, glossy green, floating leaves.

A truly magnificent sight, the Ballroom features 22-foot ceilings and lovely water-green walls adorned with gold leaf decoration. Large murals painted by Ernest Peixotto add a feeling of richness and warmth to the stateliness of the room. The magnificent crystal chandeliers, which are copies of those that hung in the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles, and six elaborate crystal wall sconces with amethyst colored crystal drops, complete the grand illumination of the ballroom. A built-in stage and grand piano offer the ideal space for live entertainment.

Macro Mondays theme Dots
I found this theme particularlay difficult. I spent all week looking for a ladybird to photgraph. I don't think they exist - not in my garden anyway! I think we (I mean collectively) have managed to kill them all off 😔. I tried all sorts of ideas but not many of them worked and my daughter insisted I post this one, so here it is... Dots in Nature 😊
Happy Macro Monday! 😊
The eye is always caught by the light but shadows have more to say
Our lucky wood find certainly opened my eyes to some new photographic potential.
Loch o' the Lowes near Dunkeld - the famous osprey nest is in the tree tops about 60% of the way along the photo from the left.

I was given this gold box-chain necklace back in late 1979 but over the years the gold links have worn and despite a number of repairs it's now too delicate to wear
... not such a Frozen Planet ... Blue Earth ...
I have no connection to the hyperrealist artist Zaria Forman but if you have time check out her amazing work to raise awareness about the environment, with a focus on the melting glaciers.
Thank you :-)
Toast and Marmalade for Tea ..
a total ear-worm for me (not that I particularly liked the song to be honest) dates back to 1970 by a group called Tin Tin but sadly I still recall it, hahaha ...
Toast and marmalade for tea,
Sailing ships upon the sea,
Aren't lovelier than you,
Or the games I see you play.…
Almost like a natural Christmas Tree - decorated & lit. Had to get the car parked off the road and then stand in deep snow to get this, not to mention getting frozen -16 Degrees C from memory.
