A peculiar figure, eyes fixed on the tip of its own nose, blowing softly.
More playful than the leader of light, yet still mysterious,
it seems to observe a reality only it can perceive.
And yet, like all beings between worlds,
it is neither fully real nor fully ghost —
existing on the threshold between the familiar and the strange,
between play and reflection, between light and shadow.

I love the dramatic. The strip of brightness in the centre of the Photograph certainly emphasises the darkness elsewhere.
