Steps up to Kirklinton Hall near Carlisle in Cumbria, England.

This little guy popped out of bushes behind a bench I was passing, and got up to all sorts of antics while I looked for a sign of a parent bird, then began photographing him\her.

At one point s\he looked about to slide down the post-it slot of a litter bin... But however fragile s\he looked, this chick seemed so adventurous!

A tufted titmouse snatched some fur and dust from our garage floor while the door was open. I quickly grabbed my camera and managed to snap a few shots after it flew into the palm tree on a sunny day in central Florida.

While working on my idea for this week's contribution, I found myself thinking of David Oistrach, one of the twentieth century's greatest violinists - born of Jewish parents in Odessa, Ukraine, a city that has brought forth many fine musicians.

Mdina goes back more than 4000 years. Mdina is a fine example of an ancient walled city, and was also part of of the Roman city of Melita. The atmosphere of the city is amazing - well worth a visit just to soak in the surroundings.

Forgive me for repeating myself throughout each photograph but I'm not expecting you, the viewer, to look at each shot I have taken ... of course I would be delighted if you did.

I diagonally cut a small selection of white pieces of paper and fanned them out. What you see is the shots taken at various apertures, angles and direction of light. I found the simplicity effective and pleasing, I hope you do too? Thank you for taking the time to look at them.
