An early dawn shot from Flamborough September 2015

Another beach shot of the lighthouse can be seen here goo.gl/mEspOk

Beautiful clouds last month when we were walking at Lindo Lake in Lakeside, California. It has the elements that I always look for, but don't always get, clouds vegetation and water.

I've been doing infrared photography since 2002, and other infrared images that I've posted on Flickr can be seen in my creatively named Infrared album which has over 700 images in it.

I used NIK Software's Silver Efex Pro 2 to convert the infrared image to black and white. I have an album with over 200 black and white images in my Black And White Album.

This is the interior view of the upper (fourth) level of the Arbed Steel Works at the Terres Rouges industrial site on the French-Luxembourg border. The building dates from 1900-1920. It was taken at sunset. I left this place covered head to toe in red iron ore dust...

More from Italy, France, and Luxembourg coming soon. In the meantime check out gsgblog for interesting photo series and stories & culture from Detroit and beyond.

View across Lake Geneva from Montreux, Switzerland. This image and "Shades of Yellow" are of the same view, taken from different times of the day to show how the light differed.

This shot has been tweaked specifically to bring out the light rays and make it a more punchy as a black and white image as the original image was a little flat.

Woodland garden at Pabbay House, the work of one man over 3 decades.

Well first of all apologies for not posting on here for a while. Been a hectic few weeks and just havn't gotton round to posting on here because of it.

However i think I am back with a bit of a doozy. This image is from the same session as my previous upload and shows a tree, on the right known as Excalibur because it vaguely resembles a big sword!

This little glade in the wood is now covered in thick bracken but a few weeks ago, when most bluebell patches were dying off this one was hitting its prime. Throw in mist and light rays and i am confident in saying this is my best bluebell shot yet and I think its going to be a tough one to top!

My mental health has been on a bit of a downward slide recently and I am really struggling to keep positive but sessions like this are better than ANY medicine or therapy out there and if I start to feel low or begin to doubt my work its images like this i turn to to make me realise that actually, I'm pretty good at this and I should be more confident in my capabilities.

Another bit of news too. I was contacted by N-photo magazine a couple of weeks ago who saw my work on Instagram and wanted to know if they could do a feature on me. I was simply blown away by this and am happy to announce I am featured in the Your Stories section of Julys edition, so look out for that if you buy the mag!

Thanks all

What's beter than geting up early in the morning et drinking his coffee in front of that view ?

Last Sunday morning must have been the best morning ever for sun ray shots. Truly amazing. The sun was much higher in the sky since the dense fog first had to dissolve. When the sun started to peek through.. simply amazing! I will upload a few more later this week. It was so difficult to decide which one to post first.

When you look through the car's window and see the magnificent beauty of a sweet light bending itself on the curves of a green mountain. This is mother nature telling us to enjoy our lives.

I've been away from the UK for seven years. And in today's post, I'm honest about my experiences travelling and why I'm ready to re-join society, But it has been, overall a wonderful experience.

Amazing morning in the forest, it started foggy but as the fog began to clear the sun appeared along with these beautiful crepuscular rays. Taken on the same day as 'the barn' and 'suffolk woodland'.

Pink Shafts Of Light Hungry To Touch Beauty Of Teal Penetrate Rich Gold Cloud Layers Across Tampa Bay Florida Horizon At Apollo Beach Home - IMRAN™

(My 95th photo in Flickr Explore!)

It was one of the usual lovely Florida sunsets over Tampa Bay, which I missed while out for a walk with the dogs. I was talking to two beautiful neighbors at the beach park as we saw the sunset. But on my return home I could not help but be enamored by the scene unfolding outside. The sharp light beams of soft pink seemed to penetrate their way through sold gold layers across the horizon past Tampa Bay. The golden yellow colors gave way to deeper orange red tones to the edges of the view. The Teal blue swimming pool against the multi-shaded blue sky framed those colors above and below. The waterfall created white puddles of bubbling water in the otherwise calm pool water, behind which Tampa Bay itself appeared calm like a pool. This is a quick panorama stitched from two Nikon D850 handheld photos at my blessed home in Apollo Beach.

Dawn Roll Bailey and I found these amazing rays of light on our way up to Mt. Rainier in October. These magic moments do not last too long but we were fortunate to squeeze off a couple of exposures while it lasted. Nik's Tonal Contrast did enhance them slightly.
