After the sun went down, light rays lit up the sky. Lots of dust in the air in this windy area so those rays were very prominent.
This month's full moon, occuring on July 3, 2023.
A handheld, 1/30 shutter speed, aided by bracing against a tree trunk. Using my 80-400mm lens.
I added the light rays in my editing, giving it a bit more of a 3D effect.
Enjoy, and have a great weekend, everyone :)

My first image of a Pink Plumeria flower reflection through a water drop, I must say it came out ok for a hand held shot. I will have to try next time with some straws and different flowers as backdrop with the tripod. Flickr friend and contact "Licht" is a master at these extraordinary images of water drop reflections. Hope Y'all like it. Lol.

Posing on the rocks as the sun rises over Lake Michigan, light rays glinting across sky and water...
Well, actually, not quite.
I did capture this Common Grackle posing on the rocks here, but then I added a radiance filter to the background for the sun rays effect.
I'm happy with how it turned out. Hope you are, too.

Talla Reservoir - All About The Light
I thought I would take a wee break from some of the images from St Mary's Loch, and let you see one from Talla Reservoir. Anyone that knows this area will know about the circular route that starts and finishes in Moffat, If you haven't tried this wee gem of a drive, please do. Talla is one of the reservoirs on this route, sometimes its hard to get an image that I like, but with early morning light like this then the shot becomes so obvious and simple to make.
Please feel free to comment;)

2 minute exposure amongst the frigid, misty lake.
Lost my confounded cable release, so I reluctantly had to keep my finger on the shutter release for the whole 2 minutes! -15 degrees.....BRRRR!
Came home and realized, "Oh wait! This is a 6D. I could have switched on the camera's wifi and triggered this shot remotely from my iPhone. Doh!"
Live and learn, eh?
