Went for a walk in the forest this morning as the sun was coming up, but before the fog burned off. Glad I took my camera.
Took this capture on the beachfront of Viareggio. Normally its very crowded - at evening I was all alone. Beautiful sunset to be captured with the clouds in the sky.
2 minute exposure amongst the frigid, misty lake.
Lost my confounded cable release, so I reluctantly had to keep my finger on the shutter release for the whole 2 minutes! -15 degrees.....BRRRR!
Came home and realized, "Oh wait! This is a 6D. I could have switched on the camera's wifi and triggered this shot remotely from my iPhone. Doh!"
Live and learn, eh?
Parsonsfield, Maine.
Went for an early morning ride after some heavy rain the night before and caught some shafts of early morning light coming through the trees.

MOONRAYS IMMINATING THROUGH A BEVELED GLASS WINDOW IN A FRONT DOOR. RAYS APPEAR TO BE BLUE AND INTRIGUING
a stopped me in my tracks moment that took my breath away and chased away the gloom.
“In the depth of winter I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer.” ~Albert Camus
as dawn breaks over the bay of palma, the sky transforms into a canvas of ethereal beauty. thick clouds part just enough to allow beams of sunlight to pierce through, creating a mesmerizing display of crossing light. the tranquil waters below reflect the soft hues of the morning sky, while the distant cityscape remains cloaked in shadow. this moment captures the serene yet dramatic interplay of light and shadow, evoking a sense of calm and wonder. the unique coloration and intersecting rays of the sun paint a picture of nature's artistry at its finest, reminding us of the beauty that lies in the quiet beginnings of a new day.
Yosemite lightrays. When you organize your visits to any National Park make sure you're there for rhe season you like. I went in the spring to see the usual site: El Capitan and Half Dome. But I've seen plenty of beautiful winter shots of the same sites which looked amazing.
5-5-20: After a lockdown here in Florida for 45 days due to COVID-19, things are now starting to open back up. So I traveled to a nearby nature park, and took this picture of some beautiful trees lining the pathway. It felt great to get back outdoors and bond with nature!
