Let this be a cautionary tale to any of you kids out there on the dangers of Procrastination. This is what might happen to YOU, if you wait until the last day of the week to try and get a picture for "Magic Light". You invariably get the shittiest day of the week.
And by the way, Matt is out of town (with no computer access), so I had to let him know what the challenge of the week is in advance. Please see the discussion board for next weeks topic. Sorry if I stepped on anyones toes and went out of turn.

Thomas J. Atkins was licensee of the Waratah Hotel from 1906 to 1919.

Cuttler Footway from Boundary Street Darlinghurst on election night 2019.. Shot at an 1/8th of a second at F2.0 -100iso; the camera has great balance and I seem to able to shoot at quit low speeds and get and acceptable (for me) shot.

November 19, 2006 | Only a few leaves left. Even the light is a bit green. I used a setting in my S3 IS to make the green stand out.
(© 2008 Príamo Melo) It's almost impossible (at least for me) to get the right exposure for both the moon and foreground interest, simultaneously, in shots like this. Therefore, I made a double exposure, one for the moon and another for the light pole, and merged them later in post-production.

When I wander around the city I try to notice the locations of the neighborhood fire hydrants and anytime I see one I try to imagine what it looks like when it gushes water.
