give me summer now

Today on a bike ride with my biking group we stopped at a park to drink some water. Usually penguins are by the gulf or inland waterway, but there were quite a few here. Two creeks meet and I guess the fishing is good.

It would greatly help me in my photographic journey. Thanks a lot for your support.

Much effort is being put into upgrading the poles and wires of the national grid, to cope with the change to renewable energy. (Note mid '60s house with solar panels.)

Sunday morning walk around Austin, TX. I focussed on the street art of the moment and architecture of the downtown Austin area.

Added to Cream of the Crop as my personal favorite.

I was out in my mother's backyard because it is so lovely and photogenic in my opinion, but I happened to look up and the clouds that late afternoon were just amazing and so was the light. There was just something about the way the light pole crept into the shot and all the wires running across the sky, trapping it there. Sometimes, I think society's advances trap us, kind of like those wires and light poles do, even though they connect us and guide us. That just leaves us, the dreamers (and the photographers), to look beyond and move like the clouds, free and at our own pace.

was going into the PO in norwood, MA when this caught my eye ~grin~

DC put on a show for Ed and I this morning. Too bad tomorrow morning is likely to be cloudless. I thought about getting up for another location but... I'll sleep in instead.

Thanks for hangin' out, Ed. We nailed this one. LIZ, you better come with us one of these times!!!!! You're on notice, friend!

Nostrand Ave near Gates. Light poles dont often create a nice addition to the urban landscape, but these make perfect bookends.

Some things cry out for Sepia. This was just such an image.

Walk straight across, don't run.

Okay, it's not a particularly evocative photograph--but I was gobsmacked by the lines and all those repeating geometric shapes. I wanted to thank that truck driver for parking in just the right spot.
