This is my first attempt at capturing lightning. Bear in mind this was 1:00 AM, after being awakened by a long, lightning storm. Luckily there was no rain.
This is the inside of my UPS, which has a protection for the phone line, too.
I got a lightning on the ADSL line.
The resistor in the middle anticipated the July 4th fireworks, saving the router and the computer.

There was an unusual amount of lightning during this thunderstorm. The center of the storm was at least 40 km away.
Intense lightning in just 60 seconds. This original over exposed image was adjusted in Photoshop by reducing the exposure by 5 f-stops. Pink backlights are the result of Cheyenne city lights. The purple may be associated with lightning reflecting off intense rains.
Last night a thunderstorm passed overhead our village. Set the camera to f/8, ISO 64 and 15s exposure and managed to capture the lightning.
Turned out pretty nice. I like the purple shade in the sky.
