Venice themed dining marquee: sophisticated lighting, starlight ceiling, Carnevale masks and Venus di Milo table centrepieces are some of the ingredients that contribute to the magical look of this marquee.

This kind of strays away from my usual work but I love it.

Atlanta Ballet's staging of The Nutcracker uses elaborately crafted scenery combined with advanced techniques in lighting and video projection to enhance the story's magic. This two-act ballet takes place in a charming German city on Christmas Eve and pulls in elements from E.T.A. Hoffmann's 1816 story, "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King," set to the iconic Tchaikovsky score. [From Kennedy Center's "Playbill."]

Light Night Leeds is one of the UK’s largest annual arts and light festivals. Over two special nights the city centre is transformed by spectacular light projections, interactive artworks and captivating performances by local, national and international artists. On Light Night you will discover over 60 arts events across ten zones in the city centre; from large-scale light projections and interactive artworks, to music, dance and street performances. This year Light Night Leeds celebrates the themes of progress and innovation, kicking off with a vibrant illuminated parade celebrating 100 years of social change since (some) women got the vote.

The Leeds Library, one of the city’s hidden treasures, will be the backdrop for a celebration of Leeds suffragettes, Leonora Cohen and Mary Gawthorpe, and a fearsome and fiery dragon will be making an appearance on the Queens Hotel! So, bring your family and friends along to experience "fantastic festival atmosphere and see the city in a new light!

First show on tour that i had my new canon 28mm 1.8 to play around with. We had a day off so

when i got home it was there waiting for me.

Felt nice to have the shallow depth of field back, i'm loving the true 28mm, it's a lovely focal length to shoot at.

Just a Summer time selfie without a specific theme...

Location: Park de Oeverlanden, Amsterdam

Reason: A chill moment in the afternoon sun after a day of work.

Photoshop: This photo is photoshopped using the option 'Lighting Effects' which I usually never use.

Weather: Sunny, 24° C (the Summer has never been this warm and dry)

To Listen: Daniel Balavoine - Sauver l'amour (Youtube)

Self-portrait technics: 'Stretched arm' method without self-timer.

Shot in the window over the kitchen sink. This plant doesn't normally live there but I like the light on the leaves.

This very unusual plant was growing in a tub in a neighbours front-garden. Sadly, they seem to be away for Easter, so I haven't been able to find out what it is. It has a mottled stem which suggests a lily or an orchid but the petals aren't waxy ... I would love to find out.

Not the best focused shot due to a breeze. I've enhanced the image with lighting effects to bring out the vivid colouring since this was taken on an overcaste day.
