Concrete, concrete, concrete. The life science centre at my university seems bleak at first sight, but holds some treasures in it.
A dozen engineers and some real time spent yields a really beautiful 'cover' of the light bulb sculpture I originally made in 2oo5. We will try to figure out some ways to get these into public hands, still working on it!

SxS as its known is an annual event held along the coastal walk between Bondi and Tamarama. Its takes in the beautiful Sydney coastal with sculptures along the way. This was taken in the morning when there aren't many visitors other than the locals who go for jogs or a walk. I was lucky in this instance where I came across this sculpture with the rising sun right behind it. So there ain't any Photoshop trickery in this one.
Hope you like it and if you happen to be in Sydney do make sure to visit it. Its usually held in the last week of October to the first week of November and its FREE. So come by and support the artist and appreciate their work.
An energy-saving lightbulb taken with exposure set for the lit bulb rather than the surroundings.
This type of bulb is also known as a compact fluorescent lamp (CFL).
