arbitrary formal exploration or a bare light bulb on a ceiling... attempting to see what can come out of exploring a mundane subject
Second try of sphere, but this time with from a shot with my new Rebel XT baby...
I don't know you, but I really feel the difference ;o) !!!
The old-fashioned incandescent bulb above my stove went out. Upon removing it, I saw that it had a nifty/swirly charcoal pattern that must've taken years to create.
Don't have any lighting equipment, so I attached my MacBook Pro to my HDTV, set my background to white, and used the nice white light from the TV as my light source.
I've seen so many variations of people holding a light bulb in their finger tips. This is a different take on it.
This a long exposure of a multi-color rotating lamp that I bought for my children. At the center you can see the filament of the light bulb. The "planet" surface is from the tripod--oops! :p
My family and I had a wonderful view of the Lincoln, NH, fireworks on the 4th of July. We were situated on a hill where the old Grandview Motel used to sit above the town of N. Woodstock, NH (now a number of private homes are there). The photo you see is during the finale of the show. I used the bulb setting on my camera and held the shutter open for around 10 seconds. With all the light and explosions, the colors of the fireworks were washed away. But the smoke from the large display hung around and swirled as the wind blew through the White Mountains.

These little light bulb vases are as adorable as they are easy to make. You just have to cut off the bottom of an old light bulb and completely empty out the contents. Rinse it well and be careful to remove all metal fillings from inside it. Then just add water and flowers and use something to hold the vase up. Pipe brushes work well as a base.

The burning filament in a lightbulb. A hole was drilled in the bulb to let the air in to let the filament burn in a few seconds.

I thought since generally, light bulbs represent ideas,
the image of a perfect earth inside the light bulb would represent the general idea of a perfect world. The hand that the light bulb is floating above also represents how a perfect earth is in our hands and we have to do what we can to achieve this idea. :3
Sorry about the Watermark, I've had to recently start adding them D:
