This sculpture by Tomáš Medek was created in 2008 in memory of Thomas Alva Edison, who instaled electric lighting in the Mahen Theater in 1882. It was the first electrified theater in Europe, only three years after the invention of the lightbulb.
I've made a lamp by collecting a lot of used light bulbs and put them in a huge glass tube together with some led-lights.

October exeat, 2016, another host family in Cambridge -- The celling and the lightbulb work corporately at the nighttime.
The texture of the celling is eye-catching enough to evoke a warm tone with a resemblance of oil painting, especially in a snug single-room.
This came from a correspondent in the UK. The photo doesn't do it justice - the wax is metallic, a swirl of copper and bronze - just gorgeous! By the smell and feel, I'd say this is real wax and not the imitation plastic stuff. What fun to receive a letter sealed with wax!
Chrissy was curious of what kind of pictures I would take if I wasn't doing 365s. That made me curious too so I walked around my apartment for inspiration.
