The lightbulb changing operation in the background caught my eye during today's singing at Holly Springs. To quote a song that was led around the time when it was happening, "And in that light of life I'll walk, Till trav'ling days are done."
Another unique event at the singing today was the presentation by the Sacred Harp Publishing Company of a posthumous award to Hugh McGraw, who chaired the publishing company for decades. Nobody is more deserving of such an award.

Day 21 - 31 day challenge 2013. Been eyeing off a dead (ie extinct, departed this mortal coil etc) lightbulb on the bench wondering how to capture it. This is the first part of the process - getting a glowing live one. This with a reflector (a bit of cardboard) over the top and lower power. Closer to what I want. A few things to learn: clean it (its covered in dust), find a different support (the bottom is obscured by the fitting), watch alignment of the filament etc. Watch this space......I intend including the screw mount
