So, we (all of us) did not even plan to go out during the holiday. Mind you, we had a super important paper due in 5 days so that's all we had in mind. After a session in the library, we thought we ought to grab something to eat before heading home to continue with the load. What happened next is we decided to have a drink - so we came here. This is the place the photo was taken. Then, we thought ice cream would be nice because... never mind, just because.
So that's the story of how we accidentally went out.

I bought the telephoto zoom lens 06 of the Pentax Q lineup, and this is the first photo I took using that lens.
Shot with a D200 & Sigma 70-300 mm in macro mode at 300. F/27, 1/8000s at ISO 200 with a SB-800 at full power right underneath the bulb.
Other things learnt in the process was that at that sort of temperature, a piece of paper right beneath the bulb will ignite instantly irrespective of how cool a background it would have been.
This picture made it to Explore as #39 for 14/10/07.
When you find yourself sinking in the deepest darkest waters and your fears and challenges are surrounding you find the inner strength you need to shine. Face those challenges head on. Stare them down and take charge.

I wonder how long it will be before the 'lightbulb moment' is routinely represented by an image of an energy-saving bulb.
This recycled light bulb ornament has three unique paintings. One snowman, one gingerbread man ( also gingerbread woman) and a candy cane. All individually hand painted with acrylic and no two are exactly alike. They are free hand sketched then painted.
This light bulb was created on a standard light bulb from Canada. The shape of the bulb will be European standard but still a great addition to any tree. I will post an additional light bulb with a gingerbread woman.
