We found this old Philips lightbulb in the storage closet under the stairs.
You should really view this photo on black.
this lightbulb dies last night while my husband was sneaking into the kitchen to get his late night snack. When we checked this morning, we saw that the lightbulb hadn't only died, the filament exploded inside and melted a bit of the glass.
A beautiful butterfly grew it's wings and cracked the glass.
These little light bulb vases are as adorable as they are easy to make. You just have to cut off the bottom of an old light bulb and completely empty out the contents. Rinse it well and be careful to remove all metal fillings from inside it. Then just add water and flowers and use something to hold the vase up. Pipe brushes work well as a base.

I captured this image Monday, 3 November 2014. The reason why I choose to take this picture is because when I looked into it I could forget about everything which I was thinking and what was going on around me I feel this is because it had a certain spark.
I bought the telephoto zoom lens 06 of the Pentax Q lineup, and this is the first photo I took using that lens.
Shot w/ a Wanderlust Cameras Pinwide on an olympus EP-1. The Pinwide is a ultra wide pinhole cap designed to fit on any micro 4/3 camera (except Panasonic AG-AF100 or AG-AF101 videocamera). To turn your micro 4/3 camera into a pinhole camera visit us at www.wanderlustcameras.com
Shot with a D200 & Sigma 70-300 mm in macro mode at 300. F/27, 1/8000s at ISO 200 with a SB-800 at full power right underneath the bulb.
Other things learnt in the process was that at that sort of temperature, a piece of paper right beneath the bulb will ignite instantly irrespective of how cool a background it would have been.
