I got the idea for this image from this one on Flickr (www.flickr.com/photos/markvalentine/8570629925/in/gallery...). When I looked at this image on Flickr, I spent some time figuring out a way to capture something similar. As I analyzed this more and more, I decided on using the multiple exposure capture built into my Nikon SLR camera. I practiced on a few other locations and went with five exposures to capture a similar effect and separating each press of the shutter with at least a second. I took this image while walking the sidewalk area on Congress Ave one Sunday afternoon. When I headed out on this photo walk, if you will, with a few ideas in mind. Then I saw this group of people walking, I decided to set myself up near a light pole to steady myself. I later used Capture NX2 to edit the final image.

sorry, this is a repost. the old one was not good enough i think. so i cropped the street light pole on the right of the photo, added texts, and darken a little bit.

my camera is still with somebody else. :( it's been 2 weeks. he said he will return it next Monday.

Tomorrow is my last day of final exam! yay!

A little touch of moonshine always helps.

Today on a bike ride with my biking group we stopped at a park to drink some water. Usually pelicans are by the gulf or inland waterway, but there were quite a few here. Two creeks meet and I guess the fishing is good.

Uhhh. Can I describe this wonderful family to you? Hmmm.

Blurry.

Full of energy.

I just love carrying around my janky lil' $2 tripod I got on Amazon a long while back. Can work as a light stand. A prop against walls to help aid in long exposures. Or for slightly uneven surfaces, like bus benches, light poles, parking meters, etc.

I used this very same mini-tripod to get the "sunset 09031" shot a couple nights ago (from Fowler & Princeton). For that one, I had propped the tiny tripod on the flat top surface of the pedestrian crossing signal stand. Go figure.

A very rare sight looking up through my Mini's sunroof. I liked the rain because of the novelty factor - fun to see something but blue. We're back to sunny skies today and Benni walking on the trail this morning.

On Cloyton a back street of the Arts District of Los Angeles is this light pole that is embellished with art work within a camouflage like design to blend in with the tin siding wall behind it! Got to love the "funky" portrait!

Looking at this picture, I noticed the first light pole is on the opposite side of the pier as the others and therefore faces the opposite way as the others. Now this is going to bug me every time I go to the pier. I work with the guy that designed this, I'm going to have to have some words with him...

It's too bad you can't see the size of this boat. This ship is 106 meters long and the masts are 60 meters high.

I'm trying to track down the person who decided to paint the side walls white and grayish-blue, for a brief interview.

A Center City commuter walking west along Market Street to 30th Street Station will encounter large granite eagles guarding the four corners of the Market Street Bridge over the Schuylkill River.

This image was taken in the parking lot of the Clear Falls HS parking lot. Sorry for the light poles, but they are a part of the environment.
