Here is my entry for week 4 of #letsgetcreative2014 under the theme "flowers". The location I planed to shoot at did just not work out as I thought, so I had to improvise and drive around town to find a right spot and came by a telephone booth and a litter box ;) Photography wise I discovered more things I need to improve on, especially focusing on myself while behind glass ;) Have a great week everybody!
I've always been the kind of person that thinks, "If it's not my best work, I'm not going to post it", but this is one of my exceptions. I thought of this idea when I was sitting in class the other day so I threw it together tonight. I love the values that are present in the photo, but it's one of my sloppier compositions for sure. In other news, I'm going to try participating in this creativity challenge, and this goes along with the theme of the week!
With the start of a new year I will also begin a new project although I'm a bit late.
It's the 52-weeks project from Let's Get Creative 2014 on tumblr!
Fou found this lovely project and introduced in on her site. I think this is pretty much the best way to get me back into photography and to be honest I can't wait to take the next topic!

15/52 upside down #letsgetcreative2014
Right now I’m 3 weeks behind, and with that time pressure in my mind I went out to shoot something for this weeks theme. I was actually ok with what I shot that day but at home I realised that I totally forgot about a background for my image. So I had to crawl to all my old photos to find something that kinda fitted into my concept…well this was the closest I could come up with. I’m absolutely not happy with the outcome, but I think after 2 nights of editing this one I had to let loose and move on.
Have great weekend everybody!
With storage at a premium in my new home, I rely on my Kindle to store all my favourite books.
It is not the same as holding a paper book and fretting over bent spines but its a good compromise.
25/52 Happy holidays!!

I created a tumblr to collect all the beautiful artistic self-portraits that are out there: not-a-selfie.tumblr.com/
This was the back-up plan for week 25. I shot it during my trip to England, in the cute little city of Chesham.
I used the back of a 4x4 truck as a tripod because I'm a woman with resources!!!
And there was a guy staring at me from the other side of the alley and made me feel really uncomfortable...awkward!
No concept, just a cute corner.

One of the major inventions of the human kind is light, artificial light. Every night, when the sun goes down and the darkness is falling we just flip a switch and stand in full light. Our light enables us to eliminate darkness and everything that comes with it: silence, coldness and even fear. It empowers us to stay awake, be productive, travel at night, discover our planet and even communicate. But it takes not us something too, the fear. In ancient times, with darkness came fear. When the darkness comes, we lose our major sense, the sight. Not being able so see made the people vulnerable. To their natural enemies as to themselves (working in the darkness is extremely dangerous).
Nowadays we surround ourselves with light wherever we can, because light means life.
This is my entry for the #LetsGetCreative2014 project.
26/52 Thank you very much for your support during the past 6 months. I really appreciate your kind comments. Let's make 2015 a good year too!

Week 16 theme is Emotions
I try to contain them, but sometimes they burst out like fire.
Let's Get Creative 2014 Self Portrait Project
It's so nice to have time to put into pictures again. Even got to go out shooting today. Here's this week's photo, themed : new beginnings.

new year blog post here!
This is my first and late photo taken for Let's Get Creative 2014 project (www.flickr.com/groups/2506080@N22/). The theme for week 1 was "Camera", but, seeing as I only have one camera, I couldn't take a picture of it. That's why I decided to use clip art again - hope it counts!
She was not in distress, she was just impatient.
Week 35: Regal
Still trying to catch up!
Special thanks to Michael Savage for helping with the final touches and his awesome sketches :)

Yeah, uh, "emotions". You know I can do emotions, but I wanted something different for this picture. And I just want to get back on track with this project!
The topic for week 14 was "Hippies", but I'm as far from a hippie as one can only get. So here's my take on another popular 60s movement, mods. Obviously I'm trying to channel Twiggy here, with this eyeliner and faux pixie. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, after all.
(Also, I'm ridiculously far behind on the project, but I'll catch up!)
Week 15 theme is Upside down. I went all out with multiple levels of upside-downess here.

This is my entry for week two of #letsgetcreative2014 under the theme "red" Uploaded a second photo as well, but here the red is more prominent
So after a good week of not doing much shooting for various reasons I'm back to to my 365/letsgetcreative and this one was under the theme 'hats'!
Obviously most people wouldnt consider a traffic cone a hat but theyve been scattered around my farm for a while and it would've been a shame not to use them!
This weeks theme is 'Monster'

This was actually a collaboration with my sister Dana. She edited the teddybear's face! Isn't she awesome?

I can hardly believe it's already week 5. A month has passed already. The weather has been really nice lately and I can't wait for it to be spring.
I used to wear hats all the time when I was younger. I never wear them now. I know these words are little. I know but it is okay like this. Everything is okay.
Green. Money. Greed. Envy.
I love the color green, but used a dark tone for this picture.
I'm sick and decided covering myself in dirty money was a good idea, oops.
This took 3-4 hours of editings, maybe a half an hour of shooting, and 87 layers of money lol.

this is absolutely not what I had in my head. I mean, it´s really not a good manipulation, I definitly failed!
I was not a fan of this week's theme lol. Couldn't think of anything really, and I didn't want to do anything too generic. But this is what I came up with, a sorta fashionista pic lol.

I've always loved immersing myself in books. Everything around me shuts off and just for that moment, I'm in a completely different world.
I had quite a hard time with this theme, believe it or not. I wasn't sure myself if I could do it but I decided to just give it a go - what's the worst that could happen right? If I fail, I can try again. It turned out better than expected! I love surprising myself hahaha.
