Theme for this was "emotions" and I kinda had trouble coming up with an idea for it. But here's what I ended up with. Inspired by/based on the subject of not letting your emotions consume you or "corner" you, so to speak. That being said, setting them back on a dusty shelf isn't a good idea either. They need to be dealt with, but you needn't be overcome by them.

So yep not super crazy about the photo itself, but I do like the message and think it's a really good reminder definitely for myself and possibly so others so blergh here..

I've decided to join this project called "Let's Get Creative 2014", by Ella Ruth Cowperthwaite and Natalie Donado. Visit: letsgetcreative2014.tumblr.com/

15/52 - Upside Down

Attempting to catch up.

new year, new project, new story.

old photograph, old camera, old story to go along with it.

want to go out and shoot again.

a lot of things made the past year a trembling one.

i am happy about the good moments, sad about people that are gone now, eager to start all over again.

the last time i started this project, my camera broke down in the middle and i had to stop. i stopped to upload at all, which i regret now as i totally left photgraphing aside and almost didn't take any pictures for the rest of the year. this time i want to make it to the end.

i am not sure yet whether i will stick with it, but for now i start my 52 weeks by participating in a project [Let's Get Crative 2014], where you have a certain theme every week. this one was the first one: CAMERA. and as i missed week one and only discovered the project now, i thought to take an old picture that i really like. when i took it i intended to start my 52 weeks.*

it's my grandma's camera where already pictures of my dad as a kid were taken with. i adore it since i found photographing with film much more "real and honest" and now i continue using it.

* || EDIT || 05th of February 2o14 ||

this time i wanted to start the project at the beginning of the year but at the same time decided to apply for uni again. productdesign. meaning: no time to take photographs for now as i need additional time to work on my portfolio, which i have to send in. since the project did not really kick off yet, i will delay the 2nd try in order to really get to the end. lame excuse but maybe a life changing one in case i make it somehow. wish me luck as chances are pretty low to be honest.

Second week of Let's get creative 2014. Theme: Red.

2/52 - Red

Going to attempt to join in on the Let's Get Creative 2014 Project. I've already missed number one, but I am going to try and catch up asap. I shot this one first because I super excited about it. Red light hallway comes in handy sometimes! :D

It's sunflower season, y'all.

Been feeling quite creative and motivated as of late so hopefully I can catch up! Woooooo.

Week 14 theme was "Hippies" I had a lot of trouble with this one... I was trying not to be predictable and also not play dress up. I'm just glad I got this over with...

there is so much to say about this picture and i dont even know where to start.

This week's theme is Monsters which leaves so much room for interpretation. As for me i was trying to show the kind of Monster you have inside. At times you feel bad for the things you do and even worse for what you feel, almost like there was something dark and evil connected to your core. I think it's part of being human to feel bad sometimes, but you got to make sure that you get out of this messy feeling. There are always two sides of every story, shades of grey that show that you aren't worse than others. In fact, you are beautiful and perfect by nature (which is represented by the little butterfly here), so feel bad for a little while, cry, talk to others or ignore them for some time, but promise me to get up and keep going. Because you are worth it. And so is everyone else.

Week 3 | Books. Reading material for work! =/

Theme for this week was "fairies."

When I was a kid, my babysitter used to have glitter and before I came over she would put it on all of the flowers and plants and stuff outside in the back yard and then we would go "fairy hunting" and find the dust. Its one of the most vivid memories I have from my childhood and I remember it always being super fun.

And yes, I may still believe in fairies.

Also you do not know real frustration until you try and clean glitter off of every inch of your body and house. I'm still finding glitter around.

This is a self-portrait I took in summer 2014 at Belhaven Beach, Scotland. Of course, I did not swim to the bridge, but took two photographs, one at high tide and one at low tide. Because I can't swim ;-).

Mabel Doris Baxter is just a doll...or is she?

6/52 - Street

Late again. The weather does not want to cooperate, blizzards all week. ):

I can't really say why I did it in the shower, it makes it a bit more abstract though and it's hard to define the emotion.

This weeks theme is 'Hippies'

#Letsgetcreative2014

This is a self-portrait I took in summer 2014. For me, this photograph is all about freedom.

So I'm some weeks late with this picture, I just didn't want to rush and do something I could not be satisfied with. But here it is, Let's get creative 2014, Theme - Monsters.

that one was not difficult at all xD

I wish I had more time to plan these photos out, but I really need to stop complaining.

Here's the photo for the theme "eyes" featuring Steph because she has the prettiest eyes<3

5/52 - Hats

Hats was a hard one. Here is my favourite hat. <3

Not entirely sure how I feel about this one, but I had next to no ideas for this week's theme and something plaid was suggested so this is what became of that.

//also do you like my "studio"? Bedsheets+windows do wondrous things. (See also "Red", although I sorta think I get bonus points for that one because it was in a hostel room in Florence. And I got walked in on. AWwwkward.

Theme of this week was monsters, and the first thing that came to my head was monsters under the bed. And then I got to thinking about how even when we grow out of that we still have those in a way. They're different, and they don't take the actual shape of monsters, but they're still there. Ya feel?

And yeah I'm posting out of order again blahblah. Just gettin things done when I get 'em done.

Sooooooo, I don't own anything pink, and had no other ideas. Also I'm not a fan of bubble gum but now I own a craptonne. I couldn't find bulk Hubba Bubba so I had to buy a 4-pack. Which is like 20 pieces.

Also I deleted this photo after I edited it the first time i am dumb and that is all. (I was mad, it was a rough evening)

Theme this week was flowers.

My hands nearly froze off taking this because it was 0 degrees and windy. Also there were people walking by on a path right behind where the camera is and it was awwwwwkward. Cut to me pretending to take scenic photos of the lake. Ha.

Also, I kind of like this graveyard so I might be back there to take some other photos. We shall see.

glasses - 11/52

Feeling this one doesn't need much explaination??? (except that whoops i forgot to post it on Flickr like a week ago when i did it (i'm so behind i know i'm sorry i'm working on it))

Oh I have a purple room in the place I am in currently and it actually has super nice lighting so things might get a little purple for awhile now. Then again, maybe not. We shall see.

This town does this fun thing when at night the entire town just shuts down and there's nobody and no cars even on the main streets. So this happened.

Theme for this week was feathers. Aaand I may have had just a bit of fun. Went to town with feathers, makeup, backcombing, and fake eyelash glue. (Make-up and hair not pictured, might upload an alternate in the comments just so you can see the crazy)
