I don't like this. It just didn't come out how I thought. I can't reshoot which sucks, but I need to complete this challenge. I'd like the image otherwise, the concept behind it is personal.
This weeks theme was animals
The concept I got in my head was how animals seem to have this sixth sense. It's like they can see things we can't. So I decided to do a picture with an animal reacting to a "ghost"

It was a tedious task-
To gather her feathers scattered all about.
But each torn from her could be repaired-
and she could have her wings again.
I've decided to join in on a lovely little project. The idea is to take a self-portrait every week and to do this for an entire year. There is a theme for each week and the theme for this week was 'camera'.
Normally I don't join such groups because of my lack of energy, but I really wanted to push myself to try and become the best photographer I can be. I also really missed taking decent self-portraits:)

It feels like I’m writing always the same…everything turns out different from what I thought I would do. That’s not always a bad thing. With some of my photos, I made during this project, I’m pretty satisfied. The others…..well I learned something ;) This week is more on the learning side ;) I was pretty short of time and the weather was bad so I had to shoot inside, turns out my flat is pretty white ;)

Brush stroke pattern? Does this exist? If not, let's just say I was lost in translation.
I'm really really not sure about this. Took a series of these pictures for myself, but had to upload one as this week's theme, because my original plan to create a pattern via sun shining through lace didn't work out (due to total lack of sun).
Fun fact: You see the pinkish water? Yeah, that's my hair dye. It happens every time I take a warm bath. It's fun being a redhead.

Fun fact: I live in the city Winnie the Pooh was named after. <3 We have a statue of him in our zoo. Hah.
WOW! To be honest I kind of hated this weeks theme but MAN! I am so so so happy with my picture! Idea came like 2 days ago while I was lying in my bed.
I am very satisfied with the edit. :)

I just started a 52 weeks self portrait project together with all the lovely people from our #letsgetcreative group. Let's wee what we create! Each week we have a different theme that we have to execute and it will be so exciting to see how differently we respond to the same briefs. Can't wait!
The first theme is Camera and I came up with two images. I couldn't decide which one I liked more, so I edited both of them.
Don't have a whole lot to say about this one. Except that that shadow was a bitch to edit. Yes, still catching up, still skipping photos as materials/weather permits other before. Will I ever catch up? Stay tuned to find out.

This week's theme was hats! So I had a little fun. Also froze my fingers off taking this. IT IS SO COLD WITH THE WIND DOWN BY THE LAKE HOKEY SMOKES.
Inspired by René Magritte, whose art I have had the pleasure of seeing both in New York in October and Brussels just a few weeks ago! I have become rather fascinated with his art. He's weird and I like it.
(and yes, I'm still catching up. Deal with it.)
Alternate shot of my week 7 theme. I chose the wider shot in the end because it was more environmental and I felt more atmospheric. I like this one enough though to share it :-)
This was actually a kinda painful and uncomfortable concept to create, but it came out exactly how I wanted which is good. That floor is just ouch.

Week 7 of #letsgetcreative project.
This week's theme is monsters and I decided to create a photograph describing my inner monster, always crazing for food. It's very difficult to fight this monster and I need great self control, sometimes it defeats me.
Fourth week of Let's get creative 2014 - Theme: Flowers.
There is actually not so much to say about this photo, except that it needed a lot af creativity to make the roses stay in my short hair. Made a lot of fun playing around at home. And when I was finished the whole apartment needed a real clean-up.
My week 4 photos. The first images I’ve taken with my new camera. I love that it’s full-frame, I love being able to see everything.
I had a whole other idea for my week 4 photo but the 1000 rose leaves I ordered haven’t arrived yet. So I went to the wibra ( a cheap shop) and found these fake flowers and I immediately knew I had to use them.
Don’t know if I prefer the dark images or the more fairytale images but I think I like them all.
The forest is amazing but it is so cold and I can’t stand cold because it hurts me. Winter hurts me and that doesn’t seem fair because I live in a pretty cold country.
This was probably my fastest shoot for my 52 week project. Coming up with a concept from this theme was not as easy as I thought it would be. I was also feeling extra lazy and tired this week so this is what I came up with.

13/52 - Night
She carried the magic of the universe in her hands. The beholder and bearer of thousand of wishes and dreams shouted out to the nightsky.
I thought I got this week done by Saturday but then ,the most I looked at my image the least happy I was about it. So yesterday, with only one day left, I decided to reshoot with a different concept. Ended up with 5 images that I liked and had to ask for help (the lovely people of the Let's Get Creative 2014 group were really helpfull!!) so I could choose.
I'm still torn between this and another one, but I'll upload it with my 100theme challenge either ways!

New Model alert! lol This is Hannah, an old co-worker of mine. First time working with her and she did a great job =] and from what I could tell, enjoyed herself, so she will probably appear in upcoming pictures!
Took a bunch of photos from this shoot, but I haven't had time to edit them, so a blog post with more of them will come eventually.

Queria hacer algo representativo, algo gracioso pero emotivo.
A este sillón lo llamo el sillón de las lágrimas, porque es donde muestro mis trabajos fotograficos, donde parejas de recien casados y padres de quinceañeras o niños pequeños no pueden evitar largar alguna que otra lágrima o risas contagiosas.
En fin... es el sillón de las emociones. :)

Still super far behind but I was busy and then got reallyreally sick and now I'm behind in photos and in school...
Yay an awesome way to be. At least I like making art better than doing homework so you will likely see the pictures getting caught up...
Worst case as of Friday I have no school for 10 days so lots of time to get caught up!

Week: 4
Theme: Flowers
Week 14's photo, the theme was Character.
I decided to use Poison Ivy(from batman) as my character of choice for a few reasons. She's one of my favorite villains, I have a lot of ivy at my exposure, and Sarah was her for halloween last year and has beautiful red hair.
Sarah was more than willing to help out as always. We took this in my makeshift studio due to it getting darker earlier. We brought some ivy into my house and Steph helped me "decorate" Sarah with it lol.

One group I participate "Let's get creative 2014" has a self-portrait assignment of "You and Your Camera". I thought I'd indulge with the ultimate bathroom selfie. One flash triggered to fire at the ceiling, creating light off 3 walls plus a mirrow - subsequently giving a decent light. #letsgetcreative2014
I refused to accept the theme "hippie" cause I really really don't like it, So I decided to take another theme. Yeah deal with it.

I found it difficult to choose the photo from today's shoot. There were a lot that I liked, but unfortunately many had a small problem and I wasn't prepared to go out again to spend another 2 hours washing off the paint afterwards. I was covered.
6/52 - Street

This didn't turned out as planned at all! I was visiting my best friend in Madrid this weekend, so I couldn't took my tripod with me!
I didn't know the city as I know mine, so finding a spot to shoot was hard and a bit stressfull.
But I've realized that I tend to rely on song lyrics a lot when I'm struggling with concepts, so thank you U2, for saving my week!!:D
This was my back-up plan idea for this week, but I'm hoping to shoot my other concept this weekend (to redeem myself!)

Hopefully next week I will be able to actually put some time and thought into the week's picture. Finals week + christmas stuff is taking up most of my time.

Sooo this was probably the hardest theme for me thus far. But hey. It was sunny, there's beach, and I like my hippie/gypsy skirt.
What comes to my mind when I think of hippie is the whole peace and freedom vibe, and I think kind of about dancing as a way to represent that. Sooo yeeeerp there we go.
Also yes I skipped over week 13, but only because this week is going to be super hectic and i wanted to make a step towards catching up this week and knew I wouldn't have time for anything major, which is what that week's idea would require! Hope all of your last weeks of April are going swell!
Saying goodbye to Lupin, Tonks and Colin Creevy (and to Fred, Dobby, Mad-Eye, Hedwig and Snape, who were killed in previous chapters).
Can't believe I'm putting a picture of myself crying on the internet.
I don't wear glasses and so I was having a bit of a hard time figuring out something to do for this week, but then i thought- hey! Wine glasses! So yep.
And also miniatures are fun. Not super proud of this one but hey. It's there.

Never I feel keen to photograph my face because I have issues with my selfies but just for this project, to see how much I grow in a year.
I was thinking of doing some kind of "Red Riding Hood" theme but I'm currently very busy with school and I left my tripod at home. If I had extra time, I'll probably re-do it.

First Brenizer picture. Today I tried to take a photo with the Brenizer method and it didn't worked out. Really need some practice here. :/
