As my friend Caro says "I'm late to the party". Yeah, me too. A little late, but better late than never, right? :)
It was sooooo windy and it was sooo freaking cold! But anyway, I'm happy that I decided to participate at the 52 weeks self-portrait project (letsgetcreative2014.tumblr.com/) and that I'm able to share this first picture with you. :)
Decided to join in with the #letsgetcreative2014 crew and do a picture a week under a theme, heres my one for the red week!x

If I wrote it in a book,
could i shelve it?
If I told of what you took,
would that help it?
If I will it,
can I un-feel it,
now I've felt it?
So this week's theme was quiet a challenge for me. Althought i'm a totally book addict i had trouble coming up with a concept or idea in general. But today i woke up, saw the sun shining and thought to myself: come on, you can do it. So i went outside and while i had to explain people what i'm doing there and that i'm definitely not photographing their children like a creep (gosh, you should have seen my face when a father asked me this question), i took this picture. I like it. Althought the concept is nothing new.
Btw, this is Lang Leav's "Love & Misadventure" i'm holding there. It's my favorite book by far and the poem above is just one of many many amazing poems you find in this book. I highly advice you to buy it.
The golden reign faded into oblivion as the night came...
Part II of Week 35: Regal
I went up to the mountain and start dancing around the pines while the sun set.I got really sick, but it was worth it.
I'm also slightly obsessed with the golden hour at the moment.

I may or may not have gotten overly excited on photoshop...
But the potterhead inside of me has been wanting to do a Patronus charm photo for sooo long, and with this weeks theme I just couldn't resist myself.
But I felt that maybe it was a bit too much and decided to also do a more 'normal' take on the theme.
I've also noticed with this project that I have a strong tendency of harsh dark-light contraposition photos, and I'm still not sure If I like that...

what is a monster ?
is it something that just look evil? or is it something that is doing evil things, but looks totally normal? I guess everybody has his own imagination of a monster, his own definition..fact is, a monster is something that scares us, something we are afraid of.
Honestly, I was not looking forward to shooting this week's theme. I don't like cut flowers - I cry when wilt and die in the vase, and I can't shoot among growing flowers outside because it's 20 degrees below zero (Celsius). So I had to buy some artificial flowers. I actually like the result! Hope you like it too.
I went to the forest the other day to take a picture for this week, but forgot to actually take a picture of myself among the trees, so... My old trusty wall next to the window wins again.
It was as feral as nature could be
even to herself.

Self-destruction is not only a human trait.
'Rara avis' is a latin expression that stands for 'strange or unknown bird'. It's a commonly used expression in spanish, to refer to people that stands out because of a specific distinctive aspect. The odd one out. The loophole to the rule.
Self-destruction, even in humans, fights against the natural instinct of survival, it's a glitch in our character, in our nature.
But that doesn't stop it from happening.

A good friend is like home, someone who provides refuge. Someone who is always there for you, someone who helps you out of every tricky situation. Even if you´re down, they will always be there for you, trying to help you, to get through the whole shit with you. Thanks to all my friends, I love you ♥
I wanted to show the reality of studying physics. I have struggled a lot to get where I am now. I am so close to finishing this degree and yet it feels so far away.
College is difficult when you can't leave your house some days and when your brain is too foggy to even remember your own name.
But I have made it this far already. I will not give up. I will finish and I am a warrior.
We are all our patterns. Our dna. Cells that are being made over and over and over again.
So here are my patterns, here is my skin, my scars, my hair. Here I am.
Theme - Books
I had a hard time coming up with an idea for this weeks theme and as I am still a bit behind everyone else....all my best ideas had already been done!

My entry for week eight of #letsgetcreative2014 under the theme “Sky”.
Not many words this time, just: I’m pretty happy with the result and to my surprise this weeks shot totally went as it should!
Surprisingly, there is a song for this that I found out about afterwards: Tony Roberts - I give you the sky
Have a great week everybody!

Something a little different this week, I didn't want to do the regular flower portrait so I tried something different. Hope you like it. #letsgetcreative2014

"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passion's a quotation" - Oscar Wilde
We tend to matter what other people think of us. So much so...are we truly ourselves? If we didn't bother about others' opinions, would we still be the same?

During this roller-coaster week, a friend of mine told me she admires my honesty and how genuine I am ; and that reminded me to be true to myself. I try to be as genuine as possible, in everything I do. I am driven by my inner voice rather than surroundings...and that will never change.
This is my entry for week two of #letsgecreative2014 under the theme "books". Creating this photo has just shown me more weaknesses I need to work on. I think before this project I never thought much about planing a shoot or concentrate on details. I also have to work on my posing skills ;) Have a nice week everybody!
“Each time I make a photograph I celebrate the life I love and the beauty I know and the happiness I have experienced. All my photographs are made like that, responding to my intuition. After all these years, I am still motivated by the radiance that light creates when it transforms an object into something magical. What the eye sees is an illusion of what is real. The black-and-white image is yet another transformation. What exactly exists, we may never know.”

I decided to start this year with a weekly project called "Let's get creative 2014". One self portrait each week. Now, self portraiture is completely new to me and i thought this project might be a good way to get better at it. Also, i can't wait to see all the people attending the project grow and shine over the year. :D
Let's create something beautiful!
For once my concept worked! lol.
Actually two concepts worked, but I will be posting the other another day.
Somehow managed to take and edit this picture all in one day.

Eeeek late photo for last weeks theme! It was probably the most delicious shooting so far. :) The cheesy pasta ended up as my lunch afterwards.
