I am thinking I did the paperclip wrong hehe, mine isn't all sturdy. The heart falls over!
I don't know if the flower was what I was supposed to end up with. I like it though.
Patterns:
(It's the February one, just a little bit down the page)
Flower is part of the lesson HERE
(It's under the Exercise about true rings)
Same kind of layering, limited palette of Albrecht Durer pencils, and papers in the Lesson_1_a.
Fun!
As there're too many photos and it's very difficult to get titles for them we'll try to learn English, Spanish and Italian. OK?

It seems I like strong good lines only if I retrace previous pencil lines!
I need to learn more about shades and I need to look closer - the edges of the cup are too dark, etc.
In the pencil version a bit of water colour pencil + wash improved the sketch in my opinion.

from a very interesting original by oregonlahar, titled Painted Hills..
Abstracting light/dark
I found this very helpful. In the final sketch I referred back several times to see the shadows. Im not very accurate yet when drawing with a brush, but I can see that a preliminary lt/dark sketch is very useful in the painting stage.
Catching up with SketchingNow Buildings homework. These were done from a photo reference - practicing continuous line, abstracting shapes, and constructing volumes. Read more about it on my course notes blog at : jblodget-buildings.blogspot.com/2016/09/lesson-1-line-exe... .
