French lentils being grown for Glory Bee, Inc. These are the small brown lentils sometimes called 'French Lentils' that retain their shape and texture well through cooking.

In the pot with the dried lentils are diced onion, lemon wedges, a couple sprigs of thyme and plenty of salt and pepper.

Just playing with my camera. These lentils were boiled and mixed with fried onions and some excellent ham and it was all just so good.
I am trying to decide which shot of lentils should be submitted to Click (beans n lentils) for May. As always I am running late, but fortunately during my long weekend home, Mom made lentils. Cooked with onions, garlic, chives (sive), bandhania and probably a bit of browning and whatnot. Yummy eaten with rice and stewed chicken.
I garnished with some leaves of bandhania/chadon beni for green and because it's my favourite herb.
Made with organic french onion soup base, lentil + barley mix and leftover mushroom and spinach saag.

Spiced Lentil Burger
Curried lentils & vegetables, spiced yogurt, cucumber/red onion salad, avocado, radish sprouts, whole wheat bun. ($7)
Notes: Curried, slightly, this patty is nice and crusty on the outside and creamy and warm on the inside, with just enough texture to give it a hearty feel.
Generous pavement of mashed avocado beneath the patty.
My only complaint about this burger is that it's perhaps a bit too soft. Biting into it makes all the ingredients ooze out the sides.
Otherwise, this is one of my favorite "burgers" on the menu at blanc.
Let me introduce you to the newest addition to my family, and the next drain on my wallet, Lentil. As one doll went to her new home (Shiloh), another came in and I fear I might be slightly obsessed with her already!!!! She's the CUTEST thing i've ever seen!!! I took about 101 photos of her already so it's been hard deciding which ones to put up.
She has a little tooth which is the cutest!!! I am not 100% sure on her wig but that can easily be changed. Ahhhh i'm in love!!!
